Chapter 11: The Stranger in the Snow Alex I stormed away from Kaelan and did not look back once. My wrist still burned where he had grabbed it just moments ago. It felt as if the ghost of his fingers was still clinging to my skin, like a dark bruise that simply refused to fade away. I clenched my hand into a tight fist as I walked faster. I wanted to shake off the feeling of him. My boots crunched hard against the stone floor, the sound echoing through the hallway, but I didn't care who heard me.
