Waiting wasn’t Harlow’s strong suit.
After the high of sharing the shower with Ryske, the rest of the week had a lot to live up to. The looming Pothos meeting became more prominent in all of their minds with every day that passed. Lena’s predicament at least gave Harlow something else to ponder, though she hadn’t got as far as calling home. Her family hadn’t been in touch either, so she chose to let things lie. They’d kick off eventually. In no rush to deal with that drama, she was happy to keep her distance.
Ophelia and Pothos were more pressing. Each could involve life and death. Harlow hadn’t wanted to get into the nitty-gritty of Ryske’s meeting alone with Ophelia; the one where he’d told her they were in on Pothos.
