Chapter 4

I've been kissed before but not like this.

It was as if a fire was ignited within me. My heart starts racing while he intensifies the kiss, but as quick as it begins, it comes to an end as he pulls away. I look up to his eyes, but his grey orbs are looking out to the distance with a frown forming on his chiselled face.

"Is everything ok, Killian?" I ask, turning towards the direction that has caught his attention

Killian stops me by grazing my chin with his strong, calloused hands. " I need you to go inside to your room, lock the door, and not come out until Liam or myself tells you to, understand?"

I nod in response.

" Leave, now! " he barks at me

I panick and start running towards the mansion, I hear an ear piercing scream in the distance, which motivates me to run even faster, causing me to lose one of my heels. I pause for a moment, contemplating on picking it up when more screams mixed with ferocious sounds fill the air. I safely make it back to the mansion and close the front door behind me, immediately locking it. I quickly glance around the house. Where is Amber and Liam? Gosh, I hope they are safe. I race up the stairs, trying to remember the way back to the room I was allocated to. After attempting to open a couple of doors, I thought it was the correct room I heard amber singing. I find her room, open the door, and run into her arms, startling her.

" Oh my goodness girl, what has got you in a cuddly mood?"

" I was with him, then then there were su sounds" I spluttered

" wo wo wo slow it down its all ok, breathe and tell me what's going on?"

" Killian and I were talking outside in the garden and after we kissed there were screams and he told me to hide inside thats when I found you"

" Awwh you guys kissed!"

" Thats all you got from what I just said?! "

" oh come on you know I like the tea" she giggles " im sure it will all be ok, well just wait for one of the men to come back, in the mean time fill me in on everything and don't leave anything out! "

After filling Amber in and raiding some of her snacks we heard a knock at the door. it was Liam letting us know everything was ok, he explained there was a small disturbance and all was ok. He also let us know that dinner would be served shortly and left.

I go back to my assigned room and find my luggage from the hotel has been placed on the bed so I decided to freshen up before dinner. My little black dress caught my eye as I slip into it amber comes into the room with puffy red eyes.

" oh amber what's wrong? " I say as I embrace her in a comforting hug

" Its my mother, she's been in an accident. Dad called and she's not looking good" she sobbed, I've never seen her so distraught

" I know you haven't had the best relationship with your family but I think you should be with your mum "

" Are you sure I'm worried about you here "

" I will be ok, I have a contract which you have copies of. If all goes well here I should be home in a week "

My words seemed to put her at ease.

" Promise me if you ever feel uncomfortable please call me and come straight back home? "

" ok, I promise" I say, smiling at her

I helped her gather her belongings, and Liam graciously asked his driver to get her to the airport safely. I wanted to go with her but was reminded of my dinner arrangement with Killian. I can't keep that man out of my mind from his piercing Grey eyes and charm

I just finished my make up when there was a knock at my door.

" Good evening, Miss Ivy. I believe this is yours" Killian said while staring intently into my eyes

" my heel! thank you so much " my face heated up at this kind gesture

" You are most welcome. I hope you are hungry" he grinned

My heart skips a beat, what is this man doing to me? I've only just met him and I'm falling for his charm. I smile at his comment but remind myself of my situation. Get a hold of yourself Ivy he is a businessman, and I'm a transaction. There is no way a man like him would see anything more in me.
