Give the phone to Evelyn, please.” “As you wish,” sighed Ronnie loudly, and handed over the phone. Initially, Evelyn resisted a little, but when Alexis ultimately reasoned that a child with fever could be in no better hands than in the hands of a paediatrician, she gave in. She promised to send word to Nathaniel to pick up Lucca from Alex’s when he was finished. Half an hour later, the two ladies arrived with the child, equipped with a large baby bag, full of supplies. Since the women were running late due to the unexpected interruption, Alex went down to the car to pick her ‘patient’ up with his accessories.
