I cursed myself for making such a rooky mistake. Cassy connected me with the commissioner who gave orders to the deputy commissioner to cooperate with me. I established a line of communication with the deputy commissioner directly knowing that he would entertain all my requests given they don’t cross the line of reasonability since his superior ordered him to do so.
What I didn’t consider is that had I shown a little more humility and spared him the trouble of attending to me in person by requesting a line of communication with one of his subordinate inspectors then I wouldn’t have come up to them as so arrogant and they would have just as easily cooperated with me because that would have been their senior’s orders.
