[Six (6) Years Ago]

"Lucci~!" Y/n said running towards Lucci with two cups of water, with some of the water was spilling out. "I got us something to drink on" She made it to him, out of breath and panting, and handed him his drink.

He looked at it and it is 1/3 full. "Where's the rest of it? It's barely enough for me to moist my tongue" He shook it around a bit.

She looked at it with a finger on her bottom lip. She smiled and poured her water in his cup, then patted his head. "There. Now you can moist your tongue and the rest of your mouth"

"What about you? What are you going to drink? You must be thirsty too" He said, about to pour some back in her cup.

She shook her head. "That's already, I'm good. And besides, you're way stronger than me, so you need it more than I do, Lucci" She smiles warmly at him.

"Right" He nods and takes a sip of his water. "Thanks, Bubbles"

She smiled awkwardly as he called her by her nickname, which he gave her when they first met since her cheeks will look like bubbles when she pouts. "Anytime, Lucci"

"Are you doing your training correctly? If you need some help, I'm just a yelp away" He smiles as he notices that she was pouting, with her cheeks inflated like bubbles.

"And what does that supposed to mean? Are you making fun of me, Lucci? Because it's not funny, at all" She folded her arms across her chest, looking away from him, almost crying.

"Aw, c'mon Bubbles. I was just joking, don't go crying about it" He said, wiping her tears away as they fell. "How about this, I'll go and steal some ice cream for you? Since you're always stealing things from me?"

"Okie dokie" She stops crying and gives him a thumbs up, smiling widely with teeth involved. "Just don't go and get caught, Lucci"

"Y/n!!"

Someone called Y/n and she told them that she'll be there. "Where do you want me to meet you at?" He asked grabbing her wrist before she could leave.

"The usual" She laughs at him as he rubs his head, he was embarrassed that he even asked her that question. "I'll meet you there but I gotta go. Bye bye!"

"Yeah" He lets her go. "See you later on, tonight" She runs off into the distance somewhere. "I think I'm in love with her" Lucci said to himself, clenching he chest. But they are way too young for love.

And the age gap is a huge thing. He would never say anything about him loving her in a romantic way. Not even if one of them is dying, he'll be judged for loving someone who just memorized their ABC's. He's not Drake. No way!

◀ 𝐒𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬 𝐋𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫 ▶

Lucci sat alone by the shore, waiting for Y/n's arrived, as their ice cream slowly melts. He sighs and dips his head between his legs and laid his elbows on his knees. "She's not coming is she?" He asked himself.

"Lucci~!" He lifted his head up as he heard his name begin called. That voice is his peace and music. It was Y/n. She made it, she did come. "Sorry I'm late! I got caught up in some- wo-aaah!" She tripped and fell, landing straight on her face.

"Bubbles!" Lucci rush to Y/n when she tripped and fell. He picked her up and looked at her pure, innocently damaged face. She ended up busting her lip and got a little nose bleed. "Bubbles! Are you okay?! Did you hurt yourself?!" He cupped her cheeks.

"I think I'm bleeding, Lucci!" Y/n pushed him away and covered her face up. "Stay away from me, Lucci, I don't want to get my disgusting blood on your shirt!"

Lucci's mouth was opened for a second, but he soon smiled. She cared about him, and apparently his shirt too. "You don't have to worry about it, Bubbles. I don't mind a little...or a lot of your beautiful tasty blood gets on me or my clothes" She stepped two feet away from him when he said that. She sometimes forgets that he's a bloodthirsty boy.

He removes her hands from her face. "Nm, okay. If you're sure" Lucci looked at her face with a hurt expression on his face. "Is it...is it that bad? Am I gonna have a scar? Am I now ugly!" She begins to cry.

"Nononono! Don't cry, I'm sure it'll be alright. You'll be fine, I promise you" She stops as he wipes her tears away. "And even if it leaves a scar, nothing about you would change. I would still love you, no matter what, it would just make you more beautiful" He reassures her.

"Really? You think that I'll still be beautiful? And that you love me?" Lucci nodded shyly and played with her hair, something he doesn't really do, but likes. "Kay~! Let's go and eat that ice cream that you stole"

"Why do you have to say that I stole it, like we're not on this island?" She shrugs. They walked over to the ice cream and most of it was melted. They tilt their heads to the side and fold their arms across their chest.

"Do you still want to eat the ice cream, Bubbles? If you don't wanna, I could dump it in the ocean for ya" Lucci looked at her. She shook her head and they sat down and began eating in silence. It wasn't a bad silence, it was a peaceful one.

"Y'know Lucci," Y/n said his name, breaking the silence. "Do you think that me and you would be together? Like forever and ever? I don't wanna lose you, we are good friends and I would love to keep you" Y/n took another sip from her melted ice cream.

"I would love the same thing too, Bubbles. I don't wanna lose you either but, the life we live in now and in the future, it's gonna be impossible to keep us together. We're assassins for the World Government. But I promise that I'll make sure that we keep what we got"

He chuckled and looked at Y/n who has ice cream all over her face, trying to lick it off, but could only reach a certain limit of her mouth.

"Ugh!!" She groans and gives up. "And how do I know that you would keep that promise? Hm, Lucci?" She asked, looking at him. "How do I know that we won't be separated? Or even worse, one of us dies while the other one of us lives life alone"

"Because," He grabs her chin and licks and chews the rest of the ice cream from around her mouth. "I always keep my promises with you, Y/n" She smiles and hugs him, he hugs her back.

"Thanks but I still wanted that" She thanked him for helping out with the ice cream. "I'll keep that in mind for the rest of my life. Pinky promise me, Lucci" She held her pinky out and waited for Lucci to wrap his around hers.

"I pinky promise that we stay together forever and ever" Lucci wrapped his pinky around her pinky. "I know we're just children who don't know a thing about love, but I do love you, Y/n" He confesses, blushing with embarrassment.

"I like you too, Lucci" She smiled and patted his head. Of course she doesn't know much, but she knows a little. "One day let's get married"

"Married?" He questioned. She nodded and raised her fist with excitement. "You want to marry me, Bubbles?" She hummed in response. "I want to marry you too"

She smiles and kisses his cheeks. "Then after we get married we could travel the world for a year or two, move to a beautiful island with nice people on it, move into a big two story house with six bedrooms and three bathrooms, have three children that are one year away from each other and live happily ever after!"

"Three children? Can we have two boys and a girl?"

"No, Lucci. I want two girls and a boy" She pouts and they begin to argue.

"But I want two boys!"

"And I want two girls!"

"Bubbles?!"

"Lucci?!"

"Fine! We'll have it your way then, Bubbles. What you want, you'll get from me, not the moon though" He holds her hand.

"Really?! And why is that?"

"Because, 'Happy Wife, Happy Life' right?" She nodded and squeezed his hand.

"You're so thoughtful about me Lucci, and I love that about you" She yawns and Lucci hugs her. "I'm getting tired"

"I think it's time for us to head to bed" Lucci stands up and picks her up too.

"But I'm not sleepy, Lucci, I'm just tired. That's all"

"Well I'm sleepy. Let's go and sleep"

"Fine~. Okay" She hops on his back. "And that's only because, 'Satisfied Husband, Satisfied...Loving'? I don't know"

"I like that" He thought of kissing her right there and now. After they walk to their cabins. They both share cabins since they're the closest to each other and get along pretty well.

◀ 𝐁𝐞𝐝 𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐞 - 𝟏𝟎:𝟐𝟕𝐩𝐦 ▶

They made it to their cabins and walked in, Lucci turned light and put, a sleeping, Y/n in her bed. He tucked her in and kissed her goodnight on the forehead. "Night, Bubbles" He whispers.

He walks to the door and blows a whistle. In a few seconds a white pigeon came soaring towards the sky at Lucci. Before the pigeon could hurt Lucci or itself, he caught it.

"It's your bedtime Hattori" The little pigeon nodded and sat on his master shoulders, snuggling up in his hair.

"No, Hattori, you're not sleeping on my shoulder" Lucci chuckles and closes the door, making sure he double locked it. "You're sleeping in the bed" Lucci grabbed a small pillow for Hattori and put it on the bed, Hattori flew off his shoulder and onto the pillow.

"Coo-coo!"

"Goodnight, Hattori" Lucci lightly pecked the top of Hattori's head as he climbed into his bed. Once Lucci was fully in the bed, Hattori returned the peck back, it hurts but Lucci didn't mind it at all. "Thanks Hatto-"

"Lucci?" He heard Y/n say. "Can I sleep with you tonight, I don't wanna sleep alone. It's scary. What if someone tries to kidnap me?" She cries, shaking like a leaf. "I don't want nobody else but you"

Lucci deeply sighs and hops out of bed. He pick Y/n up and laid her down on his bed. He slides on in and tucked them both in. "Bubbles, nobody will try and get you if I'm by your side. And even if they did, I'll kill them" He kissed her forehead and they cuddled together. "And we both know that I will, with no hesitation"

"You'll kill for me?" He nodded. "That's nice of you to do, Lucci. But I don't think I could do the same thing for you. I can't kill anyone, I'm too scared too!" She snuggles up to his chest.

Lucci smiles and plays with her hair. "You don't have to, because I would never put me or you in a situation like that, where you have to kill or that I get captured. Okay?" He looks down at her. "Or that I'll kill in front of you"

"Okay! You promise me?" She held her pinky out.

He hooked his with hers and smirk. "I promise you, Bubbles. I would never kill anyone in front of you"

"You better not" She yawns and kisses his chin. "What are our plans for tomorrow, before we have the rest of the day off?"

"Some intense training" He sighs. "Jabra isn't gonna like that"

"Jabra doesn't like anything and he's always complaining about something! Complaining isn't gonna help out or make it easier for him! Even I don't mind doing some intense training-!" Lucci covers her mouth with his thumb, it's late and they shouldn't be too loud.

"Shh..." She rolled her eyes. "You can't be too loud"

"Sorry" She apologized for being loud. "I didn't mean to, Lucci" She reaches up and pats his head.

"No, it's okay. You didn't mean to, but you gotta be careful next time. Let's not go and wake the others up. Okay?" She nods. "Let's just get some sleep before the morning. We all have to wake up early for the next few weeks"

"I hate my life sometimes" She turned around.

He grabbed her by her waist and pulled her closer to him. "But you got me" She smiles then laughs, turning back around to face him.

"Yea, we got each other and nothing could come between us!" After a few minutes they both fall asleep peacefully in each other's arms.

Not a thing for them to worry about. Why? Because they got and love each other. But how long can they be together? Will they ever be separated? If so, could they find each other?
