Urak’s treasureDeva’s confusion of memory after the extraordinary chanting suited Urak very well and she encouraged her in every way to wander in the no man’s land between identities. She dressed her in Egyptian clothes and fed her food that would have been strange to the contemporary Deva, but familiar to the young woman who had lived long ago in the valley of the Nile.
