Sekhmet and RaUnder Deva’s restless guidance many people began to dabble in the Mysteries which the Temple had always been so careful to guard, knowing how dangerous they could be if only partially understood. The ‘field of the grey gods’, and sometimes the home of one or other of Deva’s acolytes, became venues for secret rites. Deva passed on as much of Urak’s teaching as she thought fit, in order to develop a strong group who could join their effort and energy to hers in order to try to manifest objects. She became obsessed. She had seen it done. She had received instruction. She was determined the secret would not die with Urak. What power would be hers if she could master it!
