Chapter 6 Athena

326 Words
Years have passed since the battle between The Shadow King and The Dragon Master. The Land has been at peace for nearly a millennium, vegetation grew, animals and people thrived happily until the second coming of the Shadow King. One day, the Dragon Master was walking along in a forest, gleefully witnessing and enjoying the beauty of nature. As he was, he heard a rustle from a bush. He looked behind it and, to his surprise, saw a small child. A child is not much older than a baby. "Hello, Child," he said. The child, a girl, was slightly frightened. "It is alright, child, I won't hurt you," The Dragon Master assured the child. Calming the lost child, she was slowly approaching him. Fearful, but the child gets a sense to trust the Dragon Master. Soon, he picks up and carries the child, as the child happily smiles at him. "Hello there, where did you come from?" The Dragon Master asked rhetorically. He tickles the girl as she happily giggles and barbles at him. He searched around to find where she came from, but he had no clue. "Where's your home? "Where did you come from?" he rhetorically asked as the girl cheerfully laughed. As he smiles at her, he says, "Come now, child, I'll take care of you from now on." He carries the girl and takes her to his home to be well cared for and nurtured. The Dragon Master arrives home along with the child. He carefully feeds, bathes her, and gives her new clothing. In a short time, he quickly became attached to her. As he was rocking the child to sleep, the Dragon Master wondered, "What should I call you, child?" He walked up to a crib, packed with bedding sheets and pillows. "I know, I shall call you, Athena." "Don't worry, from now on I'll take care of you, Athena," he said to her while she quietly went to sleep.
