Something broke inside Anne when she heard about Miles' injury. She rushed towards the hospital with a pounding heart. She prayed for the life of Miles. He was in full consciousness. It meant that the accident was not severe but Anne could not stop the tears from scrolling down. Anne looked carefully, saw that Miles forehead had mild bruises. She thanked God. She was standing on the posterior side of his bed. Miles was looking at her. Although he could not move his head but he managed a faint smile and drew her closer with the signal of his index finger.
"Hey, How are you holding up?" She asked and gave out a sigh. He kissed her hand and said, " nothing, just the network wires intertwined and a panic was created in which many soldiers got injured including me." She put her hand on her chest and a tear drop rolled down her eyes."Did you get the names of the orchestrators?" She politely and carefully asked. "Yes," they were homies once but got indulged in bad blood and thus played us all," Miles said with sadness. She leaned forward and caressed his hair and asked,"but what were their names?" she stressed upon the word names and Miles thought for a second before giving the name. It could have been dangerous for Anne to know them. so he stayed silent but yes, he murmured one name, "Nikal". "I see" Anne said. "he will bear the consequences one day for doing it" Anne said firmly. There was too much love in Miles' eyes that Anne could not ignore. but suddenly she was interrupted by the aunt of Miles, BiBi when she pushed her aside from Miles' left side."Excuse me, cannot you see, he is already in tatters and cannot focus on telling you the damn truth and you keep on hopping on him." Her words were really sharp, cut her deep in the skin. she could not show the same level of atrocity that BiBi had shown. So, she reverted and sat on the sofa nearby but Miles' eyes remained focused on her.He signaled her with his finger to come closer again. Anne who was gummed with the comments of his aunt could not dare to stand up and go to him. Miles got it and he pointed to a diary that was placed on his side table. Anne thought it was the information about the goons. she hurried up and took the diary and said to miles that she would go now. Miles nodded in yes and she rushed outside as if someone was chasing her. it was a huge assignment and Anne was careful.
when she got home, she went to her room and locked it. she hurled herself on the bed and open the diary curiously.
