Chapter 1

414 Words
Salems POV Complete Bullshi*, No two words could better describe my life, or the fact that I still have three months left in this hellhole they call high school. I have the grades to test out early, but my request to do that was denied. I was told being around people my own age was good for me. Which I suppose would be the case if I had friends, or even if my classmates tolerated me. But no, I was the outcast, the easy target for their relentless bullying. I don't even know what I did to make them all hate me so much. The only person who ever had my back was my mom. Ever since she was killed in a rouge attack a year ago, the bullying had only gotten worse. Home life is no better. My father never fails to remind me of what a disappointment I am to him, and how he wishes it was me that was killed. He is one of the Dark Moon Packs warriors, and has always resented having a daughter instead of a son, so he refuses to train me regardless of how many females make great warriors. He just wants to keep me as his emotional and verbal punching bag. Getting out of my bed, which I have been lying on trying to delay the inevitable, I trudge on over to the mirror and take a look at myself. I wasn't a completely awful looking 17-year-old. At 5'2 I am admittedly shorter than your average she-wolf. With sapphire blue eyes, wavy dark blonde hair that falls just below my shoulders, a bubble butt and perky breasts as well, I don't think I look like something that crawled out of the sewer. With a heavy sigh, I grabbed my bag, and head out for yet another day. "Why the hell are you still here? Shouldn't you be at school already? The last thing I want to see after a night on patrol is your sorry ass." My father Richard spat at me. "Relax old man, I'm leaving now, so your suffering can be short lived." I reply while rolling my eyes. "Thank the goddess for small blessings. As much as I hate to be in your sorry presence, come home straight after school. We have to talk." "Whatever you say pops." I head out and began my short ten-minute walk to school, wondering what in the world he would possibly want to discuss with me.
