“We'll be careful,” said Sarah and looked at Jamie who gave a confident nod. His mother seemed satisfied. What Jamie had omitted to say was that they'd also discovered the name of a pawnbroker's business in Hamilton Square and it was Jamie's intention to go there first. * * * It was raining as they stood amongst the debris of what had once been the pawnbroker's shop.
