I walked down to the house from the bus stop not thinking about what happened earlier with my step mom

I walked in and closed the door behind me.

I was about to climb up the stairs when my dad called out to me

How dare you disobey you mom

I cut him short by saying step mom

shut your mouth young lady

I chuckled

how can you be on her side all the time dad I'm your daughter!why don't you care about me,I said.

go upstairs get your things and leave this house this minute said my dad,

I could not believe my ears

with tears in my eyes what did you just say dad,my voice filled with hurt and pain..........

you heard me....!

how can you do this to me I'm your daughter, where do you want me to go too ?

how do you expect me to survive ?

I kept asking him but there wasn't any sign of hurt or sympathy on his face

that's when I noticed my step mom and step sister they both wore happy faces as I walked past them to the room

packing my clothes,what do I do now?

where do I go to are the questions I kept on asking myself but I couldn't answer them.

I took my bag and walked down the stairs

I looked at my dad but he did not spare me any glance.

I finally understood that my dad doesn't care about Me what a Shame.I walked down to the bus station with tears rolling down my face.

I took my phone and called Caleb

Hello pretty lady he said jokingly with the usual excitement in his voice,

Cal my dad kicked me out of the house,I tried keeping my composure but the thought of what just happened I couldn't hold my self anymore I tears poured out of my eyes uncontrollably

where are you now , I'll come get you he said

what the hell,did I just hear correctly she got kicked out,how can her dad be so cruel to her?

I hurried out of the apartment and went to the bus stop to pick her up.

we got to Caleb's house it was a simple studio apartment and he lives alone so.

I just walked in quietly and threw myself on the couch tears flowing down my eyes.

caleb tried to calm me down and I soon slept off,

it was morning and I woke up I looked around my eyes heavy cause I cried and everything that happened yesterday stuck in my memory.

i stood up and walked to the sitting room but i did not see cal

where was he I wondered?

I walked into the kitchen and there he was, quiet busy tho......

..hey I said.'

good morning princess

I chuckled

what are you doing mister ?

I'm making breakfast

he said.'

I chuckled and went closer to look

let me help you

no bel go and take your bath change

and come back we'll have breakfast together he said and smiled.

alright I said and walked away

i took my bath and changed into something casual a crop top and joggers

I went to dinning area a small path of the sitting room we sat down and he served us we ate in silence until Caleb spoke up

bel what happened ?

I looked up and took a deep breath

and I began to narrate everything to him

that's sad he said your dad is really heartless sorry to say but he's been neglecting you all your life and this is what you get after tolerating everything huh?

Don't worry you'll be fine all will go well bel.'he said and I sighed.

so what's the plan he asked?

I really need to get my place I said so I don't make you uncomfortable I said

who said you're making me uncomfortable bel

you can stay here all you want I'm fine with that he said

I know cal and I appreciate you having me stay here but I'll like to have my own place.

I understand bel we'll help you get an apartment,

I'll just go house hunting and rent an apartment with my savings I said.

you can stay here until you get your apartment bel .

I noded and we finished up I cleared the table and took care of the dishes

It was a Sunday ,I don't go to work on Sunday its my day off .

I borrowed Caleb's laptop to search for listed apartments and every apartment I saw was either too expensive or too far ,I got tired and gave up

I went to the fridge poured myself a cup of orange juice and opened the laptop again and my eyes caught something if was a 1 bedroom studio apartment not too far from the restaurant I worked at ,I could use a cab there and its a little bit at my budget I quickly applied for a tour and view of the house and the house manager scheduled it for 4pm that evening.

I was happy and I quickly told Caleb who was busy doing what I don't know in his room.

Cal I found an apartment,

so soon he said a little bit surprised

I glared at him.... and continued talking

Its at my Budget and the house manager said I could come and see the apartment by 4 pm this evening

I'll go with you he said.' fine I said it was 2pm so I went and got dressed and Caleb did the same

by 3 we went to the bus stop and headed there .

we got there by 4:10,it was a 5 story building and the neighborhood is nice I said and Caleb smiled in agreement.

we walked in and met a man who looks like he's in his 40s .

I'm Belinda white I'm here to see the apartment

he took us to the 4th floor and we got in and the apartment wasn't that bad it was nice and everything was intact

I'll take it I said

Alright ma'am lets head down and complete all necessary paper works, we went down and the man introduced himself as Mr Eric street, and I finished all the necessary paper work and made payment,he gave me my keys,

We shook hands and I left.

bel your apartment is nice .' Caleb said

bel I think you should find a better job,

I look at him,

I've tried cal I can't seem to just get a better job,I've applied for atleast a few hundred and it did not come out good

but you have good results in business management,'cal said

but I can't seem to find a job with that cal

I'll keep working at the restaurant until I get one..
