Bee felt her heart beat faster when she was kissed,a surge of qi topped her dantian,her ears turned red,and some lines appeared faintly.

Bee realized something was wrong and pushed Jacob away with a strong push,and the ripples disappeared instantly.

The lines disappeared so quickly that no one noticed,including Jacob.

Everyone around them was also shocked,but not wanting to make it too obvious,they didn't stop dancing,only their eyes were fixed on the two.

Jay also smoothly pushed his way through the blocking crowd and quickly walked over to Bee's side,holding her shoulders and asking her in a low voice,"How are you doing?"

Bee wiped her lips and shook her head.The other hand was slightly clenched into a fist,trying to control the chi in her body,letting them slowly disappear.

Mary stood at a distance looking at the trio at the center of this,not really knowing what to say.

Bee pushed the two away,and after nodding to Mary,left the bar straight away.

As much as I love hot guys and enjoy kissing them,this Jacob does seem to be a bit of a pain in the ass.Bee thought as she stood on the curb and hailed a cab.

Jacob pulled up in front of her,"Get in."

Bee pretended not to see him,and continued to wave towards the cab.

The cab didn't even stop when it saw the limo beside Bee,it just drove off.

Bee looked at him,"We kissed and chatted,what do you want to do?"

"I just want to take you home."

Bee opened the door and got in,closing the door as hard as she could and buckling her seatbelt.

"Go."

After driving for a while,Jacob spoke up,"Actually,I have a favor to ask."

"Speak."

"I've been in need of a contract wife lately."

Bee frowned and turned her head to look at him,"You're not going to let everyone see you kissing me just so I can fake marry you,are you?"

"Doing business is all about what you want,you wouldn't want to buy and sell by force,would you?"

Jacob glanced in the rearview mirror,"I kissed you because I'm interested in you."

Turning his head to look at her,"I approached you about a deal because I think you're a good fit."

"Meh,but I don't think it's a good fit."

"I'll pay you a lump sum of200w dollars during the deal,I know you'll need the money."

Bee jerked her head around to look at him,"You investigated me?"

"How else do you think I know where you live?"

"What else do you know?"Bee asked cautiously.

Jacob shrugged,"I'm not good enough to find out what you're doing in your country,I've only found out what you're doing in America."

Bee was relieved to hear that,"I do need the money,and I can agree to the deal,but only if it's a fake marriage,no intimacy,just a simple fake couple."

"Huh,"Jacob didn't hold back a laugh,"Good."

Suddenly Jacob pulled over.

Bee watched him unbuckle his seatbelt and said in disbelief,"You're not going to just let me out of the car here because I promised you,that would be too much for you."

Jacob didn't answer her back and opened the door and got right out of the car,looking behind him to a parked car of the same model.

Bee pressed down the window and looked towards the back,it was too dark to see who was sitting in the car.

Jacob said a few words,then walked back and stood in front of the car,saying to Bee,"My sister wants to take you home."

Turns out it wasn't for me to get out of the car and go home by myself,as long as I get sent home,who cares who sends me.

Bee jogged all the way to the back of the sports car,opened the door and got into the car,and fastened her seatbelt in a good manner.

Crystal smiled at her to get well,did not even look at Jacob,directly drove away.

Bee pressed against the car window and made a face at Jacob.

Jacob looked at the back of the sports car and smiled down before walking back to the car and driving off as well.

As soon as Bee turned her head back around,she saw the smile on Crystal's lips and poked her tongue out in embarrassment.

"My brother told you about his plans,didn't he?"

The siblings were really close,sharing all these secrets.

"Said."

"How are you considering it?"

"There's money to be taken,so of course I'm willing."Bee nodded.

Crystal turned her head to look at Bee,"That's good,I'll take you back to your apartment first,you pack up your stuff and move into my brother's house this week."

"There's a driver at home,so the driver can pick you up and drop you off at your classes later."

Bee hurriedly waved her hand and said,"I don't need one."

"His house is a bit far away,and I'm afraid it's inconvenient for you to get to class;we both usually drive,and the chauffeur wouldn't have had much to do."

"No,I mean,I don't want to be chauffeured around,it would be too weird at school."

Crystal gave her an unexpected look,thinking she was embarrassed and trying to push it off,but it turned out she really didn't want it herself.

"Can you drive then?"

"I don't have an American driver's license,and there's no way I can exchange mine for a license here."Bee shook her head.

"Then.How about I drop you off and pick you up from work every day?"

"Ah..?"Bee was really embarrassed this time,"That's too much trouble."

Crystal smiled,"It's fine,you'll be going to work and leaving anyway,but you'll have to stay at school during the time in between,is that okay?"

Bee waved her hand,"It's fine,I was all supposed to be in the library reviewing every day anyway."

"Okay,it's a deal."

The two chatted for a while before they drove up to Bee's apartment building and parked in front of the door.

"I'll go up first then?"Bee unbuckled her seatbelt and prepared to get out of the car.

"Wait a minute,"Crystal called to Bee,reaching over to get a package from the back seat and handing it to her,"this is a meet and greet gift for you."

"Huh?"Bee's eyes widened in surprise as she took the package,"Thanks."

After saying that,she took the package and got out of the car,standing on the side of the road and watching Crystal drive away before turning her head and entering the apartment door.

Bee set the gift aside as soon as she entered and jogged all the way over to the couch and laid down,reaching up to undo a few buttons on her dress.

This dress was indeed in her size,but she had just eaten a little too much and was strangling herself.

As soon as Bee relaxed she began to review the events of the evening.

Jacob should have had this plan before he invited her to the party,which is why Crystal knew what the plan was as well.

Kissing herself in front of everyone at the party was also a show of sovereignty.It was just the right opportunity to let everyone know once and for all that she had an intimate relationship with him,and save her the trouble of having to explain it one by one when the time came.

But.Why was it her?Were things really as simple as he said?

But she did need money for this trip to America.

Previously,her family didn't agree with her running to America and imposed a financial blockade on her.From the day she stepped into America,all her cards were frozen.

Luckily,she had the sponsorship of her cat brother,but the cost of studying abroad was not small,and it was impossible for her to keep letting him spend money.If he spent more,he would not be able to account for it if his family found out.

Thinking about it,Bee fell asleep and forgot to open her gifts.

As soon as Crystal stopped the car,he saw Jacob standing in front of the villa,watching himself park the car.

"Did you give her the gift?"

"Gave it,"Crystal nodded,"Why do I have to deliver it?"

"It's better to deliver it in your name,she won't take it if I do."Jacob followed Crystal through the villa gates.

"Why don't you just tell her that you like her?It had to be such a big circle and complicated."

"It's not complicated,I had a need for it anyway,and it's just another opportunity to get close to her,two birds with one stone."Jacob threw Crystal a bottle of water and joined her on the couch in the living room.

Crystal was indeed thirsty and opened it and took a sip,leaning back on the couch,"Uncle came to me again today to ask about your marriage,and since you two have talked about it and put on a show at the party,I guess Uncle's spies are reporting the news to him now."

Jacob followed her example and leaned back on the couch,nodding.

"He's asked about it so many times,it's finally time to gag him."

"Heh,"Jacob gave a sarcastic laugh,"How can that be,he just doesn't have a new reason to toss the two of us around for a while,and when he sees Bee,he might have some more bad ideas."

Bee fell asleep and suddenly woke up with her heart racing,staring at the roof with wide eyes.

She covered her heart,scrunched up in pain and sweating profusely.

She hurriedly reached for her cell phone and dialed home.

"Beep beep beep beep beep."

The home phone was not answered,she raised her hand and glanced at her watch,at this time the family should still be awake ah,how come no one answered the phone.

After a moment's reprieve,realizing that she wasn't that uncomfortable,she called home again,and this time it was quickly answered.

"Hello?"A little kid's cute voice came out of the microphone.

"Zhengzheng,this is Jiajia,"Jiajia was Bee's Chinese name.

"Mom..."Bee called out.

"Uh-huh."

"Mom,I just had a sudden racing heart,did something happen at home?"

Bee's mom paused for a moment,"If you really cared about the family,you shouldn't have run away to America,you know full well that we don't approve of you going."

"Mom,let's not talk about this topic,nothing's going on at home,right?"

"No."After saying that,he hung up the phone.

Bee put the phone down sadly as she listened to the beeping and rolled back over on the couch,touching her heart and closing her eyes.

Slowly adjusting her breathing,sensing her body's chi.

Suddenly one of her ears turned into a furry fox ear,the fox ear moved and changed back to a human ear.

It could be that the wine she drank today didn't quite match the chi in her body,causing her own heart to suddenly race.

Standing up,she turned around and headed back to the bedroom,forgetting all about the gift thing.
