Chapter 8 - Date?

Anna's pov.
"Just stay right here with Luca Anna, I promise you your safe." Xavier tells me right before he locks us in the safe room I'm guessing... wait who the actual duck has a safe room?!
Currently in my poor mind I'm so f*****g confused as to what's even happening right now.
Why did he lock us in this safe room? Why does he have a safe room in the beginning? What is even happening? Am I going to die today?!
As I was thinking I suddenly started to hear gunshots in the house, lots of yelling outside the safe room in another language which I can't determine which one.
*guns being fired at*
The ground started to shake a bit , more gunshots were being fired, a lot more shouting and yelling happened.
Luca began to cry out loud from all the noise that was coming outside the safe room.
"Shhh luca, I'm here with you." I said to Luca as I snuggled him a bit more closer to my chest, trying to calm him down.
After a few minutes when Luca started to calm down the gun shots slowly started to go down as well.
I stayed here trying to comfort Luca, during this situation I would have been crying just a bit but if I did Luca would have cried his little heart out. Instead of crying I stayed strong, showing him that nothing was going to happen when In reality i didn't even know if we were going to be ok.
13 minutes later
After what seemed like 3 hours of being in here the gunshots were completely gone, the ground didn't shake no more, and luckily I got Luca to fall asleep in my arms while I was rubbing his little back.
I soon slowly started to doze off to darkness but Heard a click, the door was being unlocked!
I look up to see Xavier opening the door, I was so relieved to get out of this stupid safe room.
"Be careful while coming out Anna." He tells me as I just nod at him. I get up and slowly walk out, thinking that I at least survived and kept Luca safe.
When I got outside I regret leaving out of the safe room. The House was covered with blood, broken glass, and empty bullet shells.
I guess Xavier saw the look of shock I ad on my face since he walked in front of me and carefully wrapped his arms around me, being careful of a sleeping luca. Xavier was so warm which I found comfort in.
When I actually was paying attention to Xavier I saw that he was bleeding from scratches all over him.
I carefully wrap my right arm around him, trying not to crush Luca. I felt so bad for Xavier right now but scared that at any moment it could happen again.
"Are y-you okay?" I ask him, my voice becoming shaky, just seeing him bleed from scratches and stuff made me sad since I do like him and seeing him like this makes me go sad.
"Yes, are you ok Anna?" He asks me as he slowly runs his hand up and down on my back. I nod my head 'yes' against his chest since I am ok.
I slowly let go of his hold, backing up just a tad bit. I look up at Xavier and thought that I should help him out with his small injuries.
"Here,let me help you." I said to him , I didn't let him respond back to me since I went towards the stairs and into Lucas room, laying him down in his crib, very thankful that he's still asleep.
I gently closed the door and walked back downstairs to where Xavier was. I asked him where was his first aid kit at which he told me to follow him up to his bathroom.
When we got to his bathroom which by the way it was super fancy like What the fuck... but I told him to get on the counter so I could help out.
"It's inside the cabinet over there." Xavier tells me as he hopes onto the counter. I walk over to where the cabinet was, open it and try my best to get the first aid kit which luckily I did grab it.
I walk back over to him a slowly yet carefully began to clean his dried up blood and wounds/injuries he had. Once done with disaffecting some of his wounds I grabbed a cream and applied it on his wounds so they could heal a bit more faster. I grab a bandage and wrapped around the wounds, being gentle as I can be since I don't want to hurt him.
"There we go, all done." I said out loud, showing a small smile at him then looking back down to see my work, not that bad for my 1st time.
"Well I should go now-"
"Hey Anna I have a question."
I turn around to look at him seeing him somewhat kinda nervous , I respond with a 'yes'.
"I know I've just met you and after what just happened today was horrible but I would like to take you out on a date with me, would you like to?" Xavier asks me as he gets off the counter, looking at me with a small smile.
My whole mind stopped, he just asked me out on a date. the guy that I'm taking care of his son, the guy that I find very attractive, the guy that I like...
'f**k Anna just say yes to him'
'Fuckfuckfuckfuckfuck!' Is what I was saying over and over in my head.
"I would l-love to go." God damn it I just had to stutter didn't I... Alright alright play it off with a sweet smile even tho your dying inside Anna.
"Great, I guess on Saturday at 6pm" He tells me with a sweet smile, showing his pearly white teeth which made me smile.
"Wait what about Luca?" I asked him since I'm the one that takes care of him, he can't just hire someone else.
"Both Liam and Adam will be taking care of him." Xavier said as he walked away, shutting the bathroom closed, leaving me in there to think.
