New beginnings pt 2

While I continue to leave the “ south side” of town I hear a loud explosion and begin to hear screams running my way. I slowly walk a different direction looking for a place to hide since I have no clue what’s going on.

While hiding in an ally a see a lot of people running and I continue to walk backwards while watching what’s happening until I feel two hands grab the back of my shoulders I quickly grab there wrist and twist it while turning around. As I see to look who it is I see my mom squeezing her eyes as if she’s in pain.

I quickly release my grip on her and say “ what the hell mom, what are you doing here?” In a worried yet angry voice. She says “ what do you mean what am I doing her I should be asking you now let’s go home.” While taking my arm pulling me to walk with her. I quickly pull back my arm making her lose grip and say “ no. I don’t want to go back there and you shouldn’t either mom.” I say in a determined voice.

She looks at me in a confused way like I was saying something stupid. “ what do you mean?” She says in a worried tone. “ what do you mean what do I mean” I say angrily “ I mean we shouldn’t go back he isn’t even my real dad so why should we stay?” I said in an angry voice looking down.

When I look back up I see that my mom was looking left and right like she was scared of getting caught or worse being targeted. I say “are you even listening!!!” While yelling angrily. With that she looked at me with wide eyes and says “ I don’t know what you’re talking about he is you father and we love him, yes?” She says while keeping an eye out like she’s trying to run away from something

“ he’s not my father I saw the papers you got married to him when dad died.”

She looked shocked that I knew about the death of my dad “ yeah I knew, I know everything so if you want you can go ahead and stay with that drunk but I’m done.” I say and quickly begin to run the opposite way where she was “ Adriana!!!” She says in a worried yelling voice but I don’t care I’m out, I’m done being lied to, I’m done being treated like trash and I’m done being treated like a child.

As the moon came out I found myself in a huge grass field. I had no idea where I was all I know is that it was better than being wherever my mom or that guy was. I begin to walk around trying to clear my head but out of nowhere I feel the ground shaking “ what the-“

Before I could finish me sentence a bright light shines on me it looked like it was coming from the moon and while scanning the sky I see that the stars began to shine and move in a circle. Out of nowhere it stops and a huge portal opens up from the sky and I could hear screaming coming from the portal before I could run I get knocked down by something on top of me.

While turning my head to see what was sitting on top of me this girl says “ ugh my back. I thought grass would be softer.” She said. She head red curly hair in a bun, light skin, and she looked to be at least 2 inches shorter then me. While I continue to study her I snap out of it and quickly pushed her off and take a few steps away from her.

“ was she an alien if she is why is she here?”

“ could it be she wants to do experiments on me?”

“ is she here to take over our planet?”

So many thoughts and questions were coming up into my mind but before I could say anything she said “ hello I’m iris the next queen to the cancer zodiac sign.” I looked at her with no expression trying to figure out what she had just said.

Could this be a prank I hate pranks and if it was it was the worst one I’ve ever seen or heard of by far, the worst acting I’ve ever seen too. I look at her and ask “ what did you just say?” In a calm tone. She looks straight back at me saying again “ I’m Iris the next queen to the zodiac sign Cancer” I begin to laugh a little and say “ greeting your majesty” while laughing and continue “ it is a pleasure to meet you” while bowing and continue to laugh. I look at her and see a displeased expression on her face she then says “ it’s true I am a descendent of the cancer sign” she looks at me very seriously like she wasn’t lying. I begin to take it a little seriously but not to much to believe “ what do you mean those are just myths there’s no such thing as royal family’s except the queen of England” I say. She comes closer to me and begins to reach her hand out.

At first I thought she was gonna hit me but then she lifted her sleeve to show me a crystal that was inside the inside of her wrist. This couldn’t be real I looked at it more and it began to shine showing the symbol the the cancer sign. I look at her and say “ how is this real this can’t be. There’s no way.” I say conflicted and begin to walk away trying to figure out what’s happening.

“ Oh it is real Adriana.” I stop and turn around looking at her confused but also in a scary way saying “ how do you know my name?” She smile and look me dead in the eye saying “ well that’s easy the stars told me” I walk over and say “what do you mean stars can’t talk”

“ oh yes they can Adriana” she says in a friendly way I look at her again and say “ seriously how do you know why are you here?”

She looks at me seriously and says “ because you the next Scorpio queen Adriana”

With that my eyes widened not knowing what to say. All I knew is that this, this was just the beginning of my new life.
