I was scared out of my wits in this life and death situation. When Jessica saw that I looked like a deer in the headlights, she stomped on the gas pedal and our SUV surged forward. She then swerved toward the Land Rover and slammed into it.
A gunshot rang out and the bullet almost grazed my forehead. My soul flew out of the SUV together with the bullet.
She yelled at me and I snapped back to my senses. I pointed my gun and shot back at the Land Rover next to me.
Her driving skills were superb. She regained control of the SUV and quickly accelerated. We sped forward and gained some distance from the Land Rover.
