“Take these back home for me. I’d like to stay at my mom’s place for a few days. She just called and grumbled that I haven’t been back for ages,” Jezelle said to Bret.
“Okay, you haven’t been back for more than a month. I’m busy today, otherwise, I would go back with you to visit her,” he said. He picked up the shopping bags, and continued,
“Go back and spend as much time as you want with your mother. I’ll leave now.”
