“Elaine, thank you so much. Jezelle was so worried for you.” I gratefully thanked Elaine for her efforts.
“I should be the one to thank the both of you. If not for this, I would still be working at the nightclub and God knows when I could repay those loan sharks,” Elaine said as she fought back her tears.
