Seeing the tears in Jacqueline's eyes, Theodore angrily takes her away. She suddenly regains her consciousness and is half-dragged to the bathroom by him. Theodore pulls her in front of the mirror. The woman in the mirror has swollen eyes and a tear hanging from the corner of her eyes. She looks ridiculous and pathetic. She could hardly recognize herself.
"Look! What you have become for a scum who doesn't love you at all?! Do you even remember who you are?" Theodore roars angrily. He grabs her shoulders so firmly that it made her feel hurt. Jacqueline frowns slightly, and the strength on her shoulders relaxes a bit.
"Why do you even care? Mind your own business!"
"Yes, I really shouldn't care!" Theodore says with a sarcastic smile, "I should have let you drench like a wet ghost on the roadside last night, and then get taken into some other guy's car to a place where you'll get f****d!"
"It's none of your f*****g business!" Jacqueline looks up at the man's eyes in the mirror and says coldly, word by word.
However, Jacqueline does have a vague impression. It seems that she vomited all over themselves last night, and was dragged into the bathroom. The man scolded and washed her from head to foot like washing vegetables.
And she seems to have jumped into the man's arms. Some plots flashed in her mind, all of which was the way she shamelessly threw herself into his arms when she was drunk.
Theodore looks at her in the mirror, especially her constantly changing face, and his lips make a mocking arc. He hangs his head slightly and whispers in her ears, "what's the matter? Look at you... You do remember something now, don't you?"
Jacqueline glares at him but didn't retort.
He didn't take advantage of her last night, even if he bathed her and changed her clothes.
At the same time, she is filled with fear. If she didn't meet Theodore last night, something terrible could have happened to her.
"Thank you..." Jacqueline is not that kind of unreasonable person. She straightens out the causes and consequences of the matter. This guy is barely her benefactor. As for his so-called "watching and touching her naked body" things, she chooses to ignore them.
Theodore is a little stunned for a moment. Then that ironic smile shows up on his face:" Thank me for what? Watching and touching you? "
"Theodore, I don't want to quarrel with you!" Jacqueline turns her eyes away naturally to avoid his gaze and then her eyes unconsciously catch a glimpse of the bulge three inches below his belly. Theodore is still wearing his underwear.
She turns away awkwardly, but her eyes meet Theodore's line of sight in the mirror, unfortunately. They then knowingly staggered their eyes.
"Don't get me wrong! For what you are now... My taste is not so bad! " Theodore says coldly, but a suspicious blush flashes on his face, "this is just a normal physiological phenomenon."
Jacqueline is too lazy to expose him and pretends to be indifferent: "I'm not that ignorant. "
“……”
They then left the bathroom. Theodore looks at the time and didn't speak.
"Well, let's talk less nonsense." Jacqueline whispers, "I don't want to owe you, especially yours. Make an offer! "
"Ah..." Theodore seems to have heard some big joke, "What's the price? Joke, I've never been the only one who asked others to make a quote! "
"Then I'll set a precedent for you." Jacqueline said faintly, "Make your quote!"
"You can't afford it!" Theodore calmly lights a cigarette, throws up a smoke ring, and says coldly, "How about repaying me with s*x?"
Jacqueline glanced at him sarcastically.
"Then you owe me this favor!" Theodore raises his eyebrows and spits another smoke ring at her.
Jacqueline waved angrily to disperse the smoke. It's not suitable to get down to business in this situation. Although she doesn't want to admit it, her mind has already turned into a mess since it's been years since their last meet. She thought she had put it down. However, the moment she sees him, her lower abdomen begins to ache again. Jacqueline subconsciously put her hand on her lower abdomen. The next moment, she clenches her hand into a fist and takes a deep breath.
It is said that time is good medicine, which can cure all the scars in the world. She also thinks that the fetter between her and him would slowly disappear with time. However, at the moment of his reappearance, she desperately finds that all her efforts over the years had been in vain. She thinks she wants to gouge out his muscles and bones, but the joy-like emotion she doesn't want to face up to makes her panic.
This is not a good omen! She shouldn't be involved with him too much. The most suitable way for them is to stay away from each other!
Seeing that it is getting late, Jacqueline looks at Theodore, who is sitting there leisurely spitting smoke rings. With his handsome face, he still looks cool even if he is doing such a stupid action.
Theodore glances at her inadvertently. Jacqueline quickly pretends to not noticing and turns away, again. Fortunately, there is a clock hanging on the wall. She could pretend to look at the time to hide her embarrassment.
"Theodore, when will the clothes be delivered?" Jacqueline says impatiently.
"No hurry." Theodore says with a sarcastic smile, "if you want to go, help yourself!"
Jacqueline frowned. Naturally, she couldn't walk out of the room in this way. She turns and walks to the bedside, overlooking the traffic coming and going. Her face has no expressions, quiet as the surface of a lake on a windless day.
"Walking through the window is not a good way." Theodore is still topless. He puts a bath towel on his waist and sits on the sofa with his legs crossed. The warm sunshine spreads on him and plates half of his body with a layer of gold, making him half bright and half gloomy. Just like himself, whom people can't figure out!
Jacqueline didn't realize that she had been staring at Theodore for a long time, and Theodore looks at her as if she is unconscious. The atmosphere in the room is a little subtle. Fortunately, a soothing mobile phone ring breaks the embarrassment. Jacqueline breathes a sigh of relief, turns to her handbag, and takes out her mobile phone. It is her mother, Anna.
"Hello, mom."
"Jacqueline, why haven't you arrived home yet?" Anna whispers, "are you with Samuel now?"
"No, I'm with... with a friend." Jacqueline tried to put her tone more natural. "She went to Susanna's engagement party yesterday. It was a little late, so she didn't go back."
"Oh...Did you see the groom?" Anna smiles, "Susanna is mysterious when she falls in love. Is she afraid of you taking a part in between them?"
"Maybe!" Jacqueline sighs softly.
"Ask Samuel if he will come back for dinner this weekend. It's time for you two to make a decision." Anna adds.
"He... He's going on a business trip recently. He won't be back for about a month or two." Jacqueline says, "We could talk about it later!"
"Are you all right?" Anna carefully sniffs out a trace of abnormality.
"It's all right! What could possibly go wrong?" Jacqueline smiles lightly, "OK, mom, you don't have to worry about us!"
"Then, I'll leave you be now. Take care of yourself"
"Sure! Bye, mom! Love you!"
"Love you, too. Bye."
