15: Your War is Over

“I know that you are Xeel,” Voix raises his weapon against the god of sleep. “Why are you dressed up as a mortal?” “That question should be answered by means of telling you a series of tales of my adventures and misadventures,” he answers so cunningly that I don’t know if he’s telling a lie or not. “Your world and your kingdom, or empire whatsoever, is mine to the taking.” “Wait,” Voix changes his stance and puts his guard on. “You were able to bypass the rules and harmed me directly, Xeel. If so, I can harm you too, you know that.” “Of course, you can,” G grins as he fiddles with the ethereal weapon in his hand. “I cannot enjoy myself if you can’t harm me as well… and for the last time my name is Gabriel Crimson Fallasleep, the god of sleep.” “Xeel,” All of a sudden, Lord Xpir zooms in landing down from the Core to where we are, “or someone else resembling that man, are you here to invade my universe as well?” “You know, you arrived late because I already made my introductions a while ago and I’m tired of repeating it like a broken record,” G sighs. “Anyway, I am here for Voix and not you… she-man.” From out of nowhere, a mysterious being appears behind G and prepares to strike him down at top speed. But unnaturally, the mysterious attacker hits a mysterious barrier causing him to crash onto it face first making the attacker looked like an imbecile or a clown making people laugh. “W-what the hell… is this?” the attacker is revealed to be a death being trapped inside a transparent cube. “I’m trapped?” “This person is noisy,” G snaps his fingers silencing the noise inside just like someone does when muting TV. “Is this yours, Voix?” “That’s, Huryken Sabeastin my butler,” Voix breaks a sweat. “He doesn’t know who you are and what you can do, so please let him go.” G chuckles, “Sabeastin… more like Sebastian! One of the best anime that I’ve watched and I never knew you’d call him that by scribbling his name! Anyway, he is not your son, right? BECAUSE your son is at Death Verse right now and you f*****g made him a cannibal. What kind of father are you?” We are confused as to what they were talking about. However, I realize that Lord Xpir knew what is happening too. Thinking about it, why would Voix feed his son… cannibalism… death beings?” “I’M MAKING A SUPREME BEING OUT OF HIM!” Voix yells at him hard. “YOU DO NOT DICTATE WHAT’S BEST FOR MY SON BUT ME!” With blood red eyes and an aura bursting with death, we’ve got no other choice but to flee from the fight. While running away, I found Krozel (Jealousy) frozen with fear and overwhelmed by the presence of beings that I immediately grabbed her and carried her away as well. The war is over… this is not war anymore. ∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞ “Krozel,” I tapped her cheeks to snap her out of it. “Are you with me now?” “GAZ?!” she panics upon seeing my face up close and covers her face with both of her hands. “You’ve got long hair…” I don’t understand why she covered them but… somehow… I find it cute. “We’re safe now, okay. I’m glad, we saw you.” I moved away from her and got back to the others. “Father, Lord Xpir went back,” Azalan hurries over. “What should we do?” “I don’t know, my daughter,” I sighed. “I never saw it coming. That person is a creation just like us but they two of them recognized him as a Supreme Being.” “You’re right,” Raxion (Wisdom) tends to his wounds. “That person rained down swords on all of the enemies. I’ve never seen anything like that. As in, all of our enemies in the sky were erased in an instant. The butler was able to dodge the attack and fled…” “I feel so powerless,” Yxede (Leadership) clenches his fists. “Of course, we know how the butler end up when we arrived at the scene but it doesn’t make sense that someone like us is being recognized as a Supreme Being. What the hell are sleep beings anyway?” “We have to watch them fight to find out,” I took my children with me. “Those who want to see how Supreme Beings battle, come with me,” I looked over at Krozel and signaled her to come too. “You are unusually quiet, Axent,” Dizane taps the back of his brother. “I suppose that I should be too.” “I-it’s overwhelming and it feels so confusing,” Zorg whispers as his fists tremble in fear. “Kids, you might learn a thing or two,” I hugged my children to ease their anxiety. “For now, the war is over. Where are you going Mr. A?” “I’m going home to report to Alpha Boss,” Mr. A bids his farewell together with the Neuters. “The Supreme Being of Fantasy has returned…” ∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞ “What are you doing here, Xpir?” “I’m here to watch you fight with Voix,” he glares at him. “I won’t interfere as long as you won’t attack my universe.” “Yeah about that,” G swings his left arm to deflect Voix’s Death Ray. “I want to borrow your strongest member uh… the one wearing black with potential. Anyway, I’ll be back after taking Death out of the picture.” “What do you want with Gazbleir anyway?” “Sorry, I can’t hear you!” G charges to Voix with a violent spin kick burying him into the earth causing the world to shake. “You just have to stay put, Voix. I’m still going to put a stop to the war you started in your own kingdom!” “THAT WAR IS FOR MY CHILD’S SAKE, YOU BASTARD!” G grabs Voix in the mouth and buries his nails within his face as he grips it giving him a head-butt and then tossing him to the ground. To seemingly think that G is done with attacking the Supreme Being of Death is a mistake. G invokes, “Shot,” to instantly summon a beautiful being wearing a sexy magician girl outfit holding a sniper rifle-like rocket launcher and shoots Voix who is already down on the ground. The massive explosion causes Voix to thrown into the air like a ragdoll. Unfortunately, G seems to be having fun as he invokes, “Ride,” to instantly summon a man, this time, wearing a magician outfit. Feeling impossible, the summoned magician holds out his magician hat towards Voix and then something big came out like a spaceship used by the mortals hitting the Supreme Being head-on. He crashes into an invisible wall and the spaceship disappears as it travelled through the invisible wall still feeling the impact until the spaceship complete disappears from plain sight. Voix ends up falling into the ground. “I should’ve held back,” G walks towards Voix who was lying on the ground. “I know that you are a Supreme Being so I had to go extreme. I realized that you weren’t strong enough for that eh. Betraying your creation by feeding them to your son… you really are out of your mind. Seeing your injured hand, now that is bad parenting. I got the consent to do this from your wife. Yeah, I told her about your secret agenda,” G licks his lips. “She’d probably gone back to stop your petty war by now…” “W-why are you doing this?” Voix feebly grabs his feet, “Why are you destroying my plans for my child?” “The way you are doing things for your child is totally wrong,” G looks down on him while taking his hands of his feet. “Don’t get me wrong, I don’t have kids, my past incarnations had and they are the demigods right now, but that’s not the point. You are not doing it for your son, Voix. You are doing it for yourself. It’s a pain to see you play with your creation and lead them to suffering,” he glares at Xpir. “The same goes to you. Treating your children like dolls thinking that they are perfect!” he glares back at Voix and sticks four swords to his legs and his arms. “There is no such thing as perfection. It’s just a word to describe to perceive something immensely wonderful or something that words cannot express.” “Where is this coming from?” Xpir raises his weapon at him. “How do you know a lot about us?” “To ask why I know your stuff is to ask why we sleep?” “You look into our dreams?!” “Like duh,” G feels annoyed. “I just got the hang of being a Supreme Being and I was testing the limits of how powerful I can be, so I got to see the ones I needed to dispatch. You should be lucky you have a minor problem Xpir. The way I see it, I can give these essential beings the thing that they lack and you won’t be able to fight back. I can give them the thing they wished for… perfection in their own eyes.” ∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞ When we arrived, we saw Voix crashing down on the earth and heard the sleep being lecturing the two. He can give us what we need for so long that I had hoped Lord Xpir would give me. I should be very happy, right? “…but you’ll have another problem, right Xpir?” G continues to punish Voix with another sword to his back as he approaches Lord Xpir. “Let me suggest that you make these, what you call them, Essence beings into normal people down here while your essential beings up there can repopulate what’s lost. You are a god, you can think of something. We can even play in the genetic structures of our creation… for example that guy. He is the god of whatever and that woman over there is the god of whichever. If you don’t want the offspring to have both the attributes of their parents, then use your head and make it so that the child only has one attribute.” “…” “Snap out of it, homo,” G brings out a pistol from nothingness and aims it at Lord Xpir. When he did that, we essential beings raised our weapons at him making him laugh, “You see that level of respect they got for you, and you don’t give them what they deserve? I know we are different and I know I crashed this war, but come on Xpir. The way you are now is the reason none of your gods are as strong as mine… maybe except for that guy with the long hair.” He turns his attention to me, “You, what’s your name and what are you? If you don’t speak, I’ll make you.” My guts tell me that this guy is someone I shouldn’t mess with so I have to answer, “I am Gazbleir Celxion. I am the first Quintessential Being and I am the god of courage. My power is called Darkness Eclipse.” “Fortitude, eh, that’s neat.” He aims his gun at Voix and shoots him in the head, “I shot him because he is planning something. Anyway, hit me with your most powerful attack right now.” “Why would I do that?” I backed off, “I don’t want to hit you. You did nothing to make me hit you.” “That’s true,” he ponders and then he brings out Voix’s butler. “Hit him instead. He’s got a debt to pay you right?” He’s the one who blew up in front of us fifteen years ago, now my conscience is being questioned. The butler looks at me with teary eyes, “DON’T-” “Shut up now,” G picks up a rock and puts it his mouth. “Sorry if I am being insensitive, but I just want to measure your power right now.” “The way I see it,” I breathed deeply, “he’s been punished enough.” “I see,” G tosses a card to me. “If you want to improve to protect this world of yours, use that to visit Sleep World. We should fight again, Voix,” G lets Voix flee to Death Verse. “You can’t use your powers in this realm after all. I want to be you up in your realm so that I won’t be so bored with you. Take your butler with you before I erase him from existence.” “You’ll regret this,” Voix glares at him while a portal opens. “I will make sure to feed you to my son.” When Voix left, G turns his attention back to us. “Again, sorry for being anticlimactic… your war is over.” He then glances at Lord Xpir, “A father should give their creation the happiness they deserve. I hope you learned your lesson.” “I’ll think about it,” he looks away and returns to Essential Core. As Lord Xpir’s trail disappears, I hesitantly approach G, “Thank you, I guess, for ending the war.” “Your war is over,” G pats me comfortably in the shoulder, “but the eternal war isn’t. Your fifteen-year training has paid off, but you need to be stronger and better. Your creator… he’ll come around and give you what you deserve to have. As for me, I’m heading to Death Verse to show Voix the difference in our power.” “How do you know all of this?” I asked curious of his mysterious knowledge. “When you sleep, your mind goes into a world where you are unconsciously its creator. Like I said, I recently got the hang of the entirety of my powers and got to see the dilemma between two major sides… good and evil.” “What side are you?” “You know, you shouldn’t meddle much with this for now. You have to make sure to solve your problems first,” G grins at me. “You’re a virgin, aren’t you?” That caught me off guard, “W-what now?” “Don’t worry,” G pats me in the head. “If you find your own happiness, you’ll know that your major problem is solved. If Xpir doesn’t follow my advice, then I will conquer this world and I’ll be your Supreme Being. To be honest, I may have underestimated the Xpir and Voix… but who knows? Deep inside, I am still 100% human but of course, I’m still 100% god at the same time. Death beings, huh…” “You sure talk a lot,” I lightened up to him. “What about the death beings? I might use this card sooner…” “I’m planning to take some of my sleep beings with me,” G grins. “I’ll take the god of wisdom and knowledge, the god of war, the god of pressure, the goddess of nightmares, and maybe that demigod… god of injustice. Yeah I do talk too much… because I really hate to take things seriously. I should know because I experience dying a lot during my serious days when I was still training to be what I am right now. But more importantly, I always remember the humanity inside of me. I think this is a good time to end the chapter, right?” I’m confused, “W-what chapter? Where’d he go?”
