Blake and I quickly exited the conference room as Austin was assisting Alpha Brian to stand and make their way to the pack hospital. Once outside the packhouse I noted how still and quiet everything seemed, the calm before the storm almost.
Blake was a few steps ahead of me when I grabbed his arm softly, pulling him to a stop.
“What? What’s wrong?” He asked, his tone serious.
“You can’t go out there and get your mother, not with everything going on here.”
“Austin and dad are here; they can hold down the packhouse while I’m gone.” He stated simply.
