Nick padded quietly through the old church. Todd would probably have a cow seeing him wandering around in bare feet, but he hoped the blanket draped over his shoulders would make up for his lack of shoes and socks. Having grown up much farther south in a warmer climate, going barefoot at home in their apartment or here at Jimmy’s was comfortable. Besides, Todd was far more likely to be convinced Nick needed a foot rub when he used his naked toes, not the end of a boot, to poke at Todd.
