“Felix, Ana, did you both sleep well?” Phoenix smiled, attempting to keep her voice light and airy.
“Yes, perfectly. Thank you, Luna Phoenix.” Ana nodded, her swollen eyes with deep dark circles under them told everyone in the room just how much of a lie that was.
“I’m so pleased; we spent a fortune on the beds in the tree houses to ensure everyone felt like they were sleeping on a cloud,” Phoenix said, then mentally face palmed. She would never say something like that in ‘real life’.
“Alpha Felix, please allow me the pleasure of introducing you to King Zander and Queen Chloe of the UK werewolves.” Teo smiled, rescuing Phoenix from saying something else that was totally out of character.
