Aisha didn’t scream. She gagged. The room spun violently as her stomach lurched, and she barely made it to the side before she vomited, harsh and uncontrollable. Her hands shook as she braced herself against the wall, breath coming in sharp, broken pulls. Her entire body trembled. Behind her, there was movement—slow, careful. She didn’t need to look to know he was still there. The weight of him filled the room, heavy and undeniable. “Don’t—” she choked, wiping her mouth with the back of her hand. “Don’t come any closer.” She sank to her knees, shaking so hard her teeth clicked together. Tears streamed down her face, not dramatic—raw, humiliating, real. “You let me think I was losing my mind,” she said hoarsely. “For weeks.” Her voice cracked as she turned, finally looking at him
