Chapter 15

I wake up but still had my eyes closed. I can feel the sun on my face and it put a smile on my face. As I was turning over on my bed, I could smell food being cooked. I open one of my eyes looking around, just to see that I was in my room. Not just any room, but my old house. My old bedroom. I jump up looking around.

Yes, I was in my room. My window was in front of my bed. My dresser is next to the window. My desk was next to my bathroom. 

"Ava, wake up! Time to get ready for school!"

I jumped out of bed, "That's my mom. That can't be right." 

I ran to the bedroom door and opened it looking down the hall. The smell of food hit me even more. I slowly walked out of my room and down the hall. When I get to the end I looked to my right, the leaving room. I see my dad.

"Oh look who is up, did you sleep well my dear?" My dad asks smiling. 

I gave him a nod, my dad smiling at me? 

"Ava, come eat then go get ready for school. Your dad and I have to show you something before you leave." The lady said behind me.

I turn and there she was, my mom. She was smiling. Her blue eyes looking at me. I ran over to her and gave her a hug. "Oh, mommy, I missed you so much!" I started crying

My dad walks over to us, "What wrong Ava?" he puts his hand on my back and I jump and get behind my mom still crying.

My mom and dad look at me, "Ava what is wrong with you?" They asked

What is wrong here, I was just with Noah. He was fighting the b"lack smoke man. I just told him that I loved him to save his life. 

"Dear did you have a bad dream?" My dad asked. I cut my eyes to him. 

"What is going on here? Why am I here, why is mommy here for?" I asked looking at my dad

My mom pulled me to a chair and had me sit. She gets on her knees in front of me, "Ava, what are you talking about?"

I look at her blue eyes. How can I tell her what is going on when I don't even know what is going on.

"I, don't know. I don't know where to start." I told her

"If you don't know where to start the best thing to do is start from the start of it," she told me. I nodded and started telling her and my dad what was going on.

I put the last 7 years in 30 mins, not leaving anything out. The look on my mom and dad's face, they had no idea what I was talking about.

"Ava, my little girl. I'll never give you away like that, I love you, my dear." My dad told me

"You just had a bad dream, my love. Come eat and then get ready for school. You are ok now." my mom told me as she got off the floor.

After eating I ran to my run and closed the door. Could this all be a dream and my mom was right in the other room and my dad loved me that much? What was going on here?

After getting dressed I walked back to my mom. "Am ready."

My mom looks up at me smiling. "Come on, your dad and I have something for you!" She pulls me to the front door and opens it.

We walk outside and she puts her hands over my eyes. "Mom, what's going on?"

"Your see." She told me. 

We walk down to the road and she puts one of my hands on something hard. It was a little cold. "What is this?"

She moves her hand from my eyes. I look and it was a car. A black 4 door car. I looked over at my mom and dad, "HAPPY 17TH BDAY!"

They gave me a hug and I started crying. "Thank you!"

Today is my birthday? I'm 17 years old? 

"Now go to school little one, go show off your new car," my dad told me

I gave them one more hug and got in the car. As I sat there looking around I started it. 

I pulled away from the house and down the road to the high school. My last year and only had 4 weeks to go.

After pulling in a spot I turn the car off and got out. "Ava!"

I looked and it was Don, he was running up to me." Girlfriend, look at your new car!" We talked and walked to our first class. Everything was the way it was before Noah took me away to live with him. 

At lunch, I sat with Don and I told him everything about this "dream" I had. He looked at me like my mom and dad did.

"Girl, I don't think your dad would give you away, you are his only kid." 

I nodded, "I know that now but 4 hours away I did not."

"But on the other hand, this Noah man sounds a little sexy. Think he may call for me?" We laughed and got back to class.

School flies by after lunch. And so did the school weeks. After telling my mom, dad, and Don about the dream no one talked about it again. We all marked it as a bad dream.

The last day of school and everyone was crying about how much they are going to miss each other, and saying please lets still be friends. I had people walk up to me crying and hugging me and it did not feel right. I did not know any of the people here. 

The last thing I know is it was only Don and me. No one cared if I was at school and now over 50 + people want me to make sure we stay friends and talk all the time. I was a little lost at this. Am just happy that school did not last that long that day, last day of school meant we 12th grades got out of school at noon. We did not even have to go but Don wanted to because he wanted to say goodbye. 

Don was over there talking to some girls, I back away and walked to my car. I was walking and looking down looking for my keys in my bag when I ran into someone making me fall to the ground. I look up, "Am sorry." I see a hand waiting for me to take so I can get help up.

I look at the person's face, he was hot. The sexiest blue eyes anyone has ever seen. A smile that makes my knees give out again. Before I hit the ground he picks me up and puts me back on my feet. I have seen that smile, the eyes I know the eyes.

He had black hair, "Prince?" I asked

He looks at me, "Who?"

I shook my head, "Am sorry I thought you were someone I knew, am sorry." 

"It's ok, so do you go to school here or you picking someone up?" He asked looking around

"Oh, today is my last day, am done with school for good now," I said smiling

He nodded, "That's nice. Am here to pick up my little sister, her last day of school is today."

"John!" Some girl yells from behind us. I look and it was one of the girls that were crying and telling me that we need to be friends outside of school. 

"Ava, John what is going on?" She looks back to me and then him

"I ran into him when I was going to my car," I told her.

She nodded and I say my goodbyes and get in the car and drive off.
