Chapter three

My eyes open when I hear my phone ring, I jump up looking for it. "Where the hell is my phone?" I walk in the bathroom and see my jeans on the floor. When I found my phone I looked to see who had called me. I smiled when I saw it was my best friend Dan. 

I walk back over to my bed and recall Dan. 

"Ava? How did it go last night?" Dan asks, before saying hello.

"Hello to you too Dan." 

"Oh sorry. Hello Ava, how are you? How did it go last night? Did you have a fun time?" He asked me.

I think back to what happened last night, "No, I did not have fun. When I tried to go home he tried to pin me down, and I kicked him in the balls." 

Dan was my best friend, we have been best friends for 11 years now. He was the only one there for me when my mom passed away. He was there for the nights I could not sleep. When I was scared about the man with the red eyes was going to come after me. Dan's mom and dad help bring me up after my mom passed away.

His mom and dad ever paid for me to talk to someone about the man in the red eyes, they told me that this man was not for real, I had made him up in my mind. I was starting to believe them until the prince of hell came back and told me he was for real and he tried to tell me he was my friend, and the only friend I'll ever need. 

"Ava?!" Dan yelled on the phone

I jumped, "Yes?" 

"Dad wanted to know if you want to get some hours in the store today, and maybe after we can go get some coffee." I smiled

"Yes, let me get ready and I'll be right there."

"Ava, there is no getting right there with you, you have to take a bus. I'll be there in 10 mins. Get ready for work."

If it was not for Dan and his mom and dad I would not have any money for food and the things I needed. They were my family and I loved them. "Ok, see you in 10."

I put the phone on my bed and jumped up and ran to the bathroom, I took a shower last night I just needed to look at my face.

I look in the mirror," Oh Dan is not going to like this." I pick up my make-up bag and try to hide the black and blue on my eye, I can talk my way out of my lip it was my eye, am just happy I can see out of it. 

After I spend the next 8 mins working on my make-up I run to put some close on, I was to busy to ever see that HE was sitting on my bed.

"Hello, my pet."

"AAAAA" I yell and jump I turn around, "What are you trying to do scare me to death? 

He smiles, "No my dear am not. I just want to come and see how you are doing."

I rolled my eyes and walk to the bathroom to get dressed. When I got done I was hoping he was gone but he was still sitting there.

"Um, I'm about to leave for work Dan is here waiting for me." I point to the window where Dan just pulled up and waiting in his car for me.

He gets up from the bed, "Why you so mad at me? Do you not like me?"

Huh, why does he care if I like him or not? f**k him, no I don't like him my life is going to end when he comes for me.

"What do you care, you get what you want, and I don't. All because my dad doesn't love me and he wants his dream to come true." I was getting mad, I turn around to get my shoes so I can walk out the room and out of nowhere he walks up behind me and puts his arm around me. 

I try and fight my way out of it, " You can say all you want you don't like me but I know what you feel, I can hear your body call for me." I turned around and push him off me. 

"I need to go to work, if you did care about me I would not have to work, I would not need for anything." And with that, I walk out of my room and down the hall. I look over in the leaving room and my dad was sitting in his chair, he looks over at me. Dam his face was f****d up more than mine. Did the prince of hell do this? I turned around to look at my room, he was at my door to my room. I nod to him and I walk out of my house. 

I run and get in Dan's car, and the first thing he says was something about my eye.

"Ava, who the f**k hit you?"

I look away as Dan starts to drive to work, "I got in a fight with my dad." I told him

"That SOB, let me get my hands on him for hitting my girl." 

I smile and roll my eyes at him, "Dan forget about my eye, it was taken care of let's just go to work." 

After that, we did not talk.

We got to work about 15 mins later, I get out and walk-in work. 

"Thank you for coming to the Big Store, see you next time," I told one of the customers that checked out in my line. I start scanning the next customer's things, "Hello, I hope you are having a good day." I look up and dam this man was hot. I mean he was so dammed sexy, he had black hair, blue eyes. And he had a nice sexy tan. 

"I'm doing better now." He told me smiling.

I look down smiling, I can feel my face getting red and I did not want him to see me like that. 

"That be $52.69 sire," I told him just moving my eyes up to him.

"Do I look that old?" He asked laughing. 

"Oh, no" I said smiling "I did not mean it like that."

"It's fine, and if it is ok for me to say, so are you." I move my head looking in his eyes. I had a feeling that I have seen them eyes before, but I could not think of where I have seen them. 

He gives me the money with a little note on it. 

"Coffee house at 6 p.m. tonight."

I look up from reading the note and he was gone. I look to the door but he was not there.

Dan comes running up smiling. "Umm, miss girl, who was that? And why is your face so red?" I just smile and hand him the note.

"GIRLFRIEND! You have to go!"

"I don't know, I don't think it be a good idea." Thinking about what prince of hell said last night, it will not end well if he sees me when any other man. He knows about Dan, he told me I can have dan as a friend he was not sacred of Dan took anything away from him or me because Dan was gay. 

"I don't have anything to wear that looks good." 

Dan looks at me and nodded. "Oh, Ava a box came in for you today, no note or address."

I look over at Dan as he walked back to the office. 

When it was my break time I go to the office to see what this box was about. 

Dan looking at the box, "Are you going to open it, or should I?"

"You do it, I don't know where it came from or who sent it," I told him

Dan nodes his hand and start opening the box. He looks in it, "OH girl. I think you have something to wear for coffee tonight." as he pulls out a black dress with red roses on it. 

"But how?"

"Girl I don't know but if you don't go put this on and go to that coffee house I'll do it for you." smiling as he spins around with the dress.

I laugh and nodded

"GIrl go and I'll put your time in for 7, it's 5:30 the coffee house is 5 mins down the road."

I smile and run off with the dress in the bathroom. I take off my work close and put the dress on, it hugged every part of my body. 

I look at the clock when I get back to the office, "It's 5:50, go get him, girl! You call me when you are done and let me know everything that happens." 

I nod and walk out and start off to the coffee house. Right before I open the door, I get a feeling HE is here somewhere. And then what he told me last night came running back in my head, *Not a happy ending for you or him.I shook my head, this was my life. If he is going to take me when I get 21 I'm doing what I want from now on and if he doesn't like it he can take me now or kill me but f**k HIM.* I smile and open the door and look around. I walk in just a little until I hear someone behind me.

"Wow, you look ever nice." I look behind me and there he was, I smile and nod. 

"Thank you."

He smiles, "I order you some coffee, I hope you like it." He said as we walk over to the table he had picked out for us. 

"Oh and by the way my name is Noah," he told me to ask him pulls the chair out for me to sit down in.

"My name is Ava," I told him smiling.
