Claus ' pov
I definitely didn't expect things to get heated the way they did. I was just trying tease her, prank her but I was never trying to kiss her. Tina interrupted me, well us,otherwise we would have done something we would have regret afterwards. I knew Tina was a little curious but our relationship was not based on trust we don't account for anything ,So I don't know why she got all possessive and interrogative.
Our relationship was based on lust not love and I made it all clear that I wasn't a faithful guy so she had all the right to cheat on me which am sure she had been doing lately. so that didn't give her a reason to be furious if I had another lady .I am a ladies man. we'll I'll just play along with her for tonight.
But I couldn't understand why I felt bad when I saw the disappointment on Monica's face ,after her breakup with Evans Kings. I wanted to make her feel loved, accepted and special but I ended up screwing everything up. I ended up making her feel unwanted and award, good work Claus, and perfect timing by the way at least now she'll be convinced all men are the worst.
Just when I was about to leave I saw Monica trip and almost fall only to see someone clasp her waist. I sighed in relief. I almost thanked whoever saved this clumsy girl with a smile on my face.
Arther? what was he doing here? before I could ask my dear cousin, Tina grabbed me away.Nothing made swnse. The old man said it was a small family dinner ,now he extended it to my esteemed cousing and possibly many others. Well it made sense.I fell into his trap ,again .
"Claus darling"I heard my sister Victoria sam greet me in the long living room with a warm smile.
"You came" she added placing a kiss on my both cheeks .she took after my mum ,tall,petite a beautiful brunette. with her long wavy hair cascading down her neck ,dark blue eyes and full lips. Victoria could be small but she quite stubborn, energetic and strongwilled . She is social too . I dont even remember a time when I saw her depressed and sad she has always been happy and bubbly with life with no care in this qorld , probably why the old man loves her more than his own life .
My dad is the true definition of a gloomy sky. He is never happy, but all that changes whenever Victoria is around . I dont remember ever seeing his smile
She is his sun,which is quite obvious with his favouritsm. Victoria's requests were granted with immediate effect .
"And this must be Tina." She squelled like a five year old who had just been offered candy by his mummy and Tina looked at her surprised
"uhm yeah" Tina answered her.
"welcome to the family,she said and tried hugging her,but the person in question stepped back and propelled her hand for a handshake.
"Nice to meet you"Tina said all fomal and businesslike,removing all the excitment from Tina's face .
Great. Tina's done what she's good at .
"Excuse us "I said trying to not ruin Victorias mood completely.
"We have to meet the old man."Victoria gave me a hard stare
"You mean our father"
"Yep"
"seriously Claus" She strared at me folded her arms around her chest. knowing that stance,I fled.
"We'll talk later."I grabbed Tina.
Walking hand in hand we were looking for my father I knew I would catch him in the hands of a young damsel, probably his new girlfriend.
"Your sistee is wierd"Tina said to me probably tired of the silent treatment I was giving her . I was abit angry at her. Considering how she treated my sister. couldn't she leave all the fomalities at work.
"you are not talking to me ?Whats the problem.She asked ,but I didnt reply just kept searching.
"Now we talk, Claus"she said blocking my way and holding my arm trying to block me from moving anywhere.
"What now?"she said to me.
"You are ignoring me ." She said ,but I rolled my eyes and said,
"Considering what you did to my sister I should have done way worse .You made look like a fool christina" i breathed trying to cool myself down and not stir up a quarrel with her it wouldnt look good if my relations found me arguing with her .
"Christ's sake Claus ,she was about to kiss me,that was not common etiquette " She said heaving her chest ,she was angry and was trying to calm herself too. she knew that causing a scene would not benefit the situation in any way,atleaset that was good with her common etiquette s**t going on .
"This is nota fomal meeting,its a family dinner. I hissed not ready to make my sister look like the fool here. Shetook a deep breath and said.
"I am getting a drink, you can text me when you find your old man "
"Great " I said running my hands through my hair what as I thinking bronging Tina to a non fomal event where there is 'no common etiquette'.
I heard a warm laugh only to turn and see Victoria laughing with Monica .They seemed to be discussing about something with Arthur because he had his hands tightly on Monica's waist as if she was his already
I felt a pang of jealousy if only Tina could be like that.
Fourtunately .She doesnt have to be if Monica is yours.
"No stop" I said inwardly why was I having such outrageous thoughts.
Monica already has a relationship gone downhill. Dating her would not grantee that ours will be a successful one .
Hovwever,Monica believes in love and I dont believe in love i believe in fun and lust ,not fun and love. so I better kiss that thought goodbye.
"Claus boy" I heard a voice behind me.He fould me.All the hais on my back stood. I turned with excruciating slowness and murmured "father" he raised a brow in awknowledgen
"I was searching for you and ironically you found me." I said coming with a best smile.
"What do we have here.."someone drawled behind me and I didnt need a prophet to guess who it was.
Arthur
"Isn't that the boy wonder, Claus? he announced on purpose trying to irk me and it was working. I turned to face hom.
"Go to hell "I hissed at him praying that he'll disappear from my sight but instead he came closee and whispered to my ear.
"why go to hell while I can bring hell right straight here."
