Jace pulled up in the driveway and hopped out of his Ram before Leah. He had made it to the door, unlocked it, and went inside all before she moved from his passenger seat.
When Jace heard the front door close and lock, he was on Leah, rushing back to the foyer where she was. “What happened, Leah, and don’t lie to me. This is serious!” Jace’s piercing eyes stayed fixed on Leah as she casually took off her stilettos, kicked them to the side, and brushed passed him.
