One Month Later . . .
Leah comfortably rode in the passenger seat of her car as Jace maned the wheel, cursing down the highway. They were heading to Detroit for the Yo Gotti concert tomorrow night at the St. Andrews Hall. Neither one of them gave a damn about seeing Yo Gotti, but when Jace heard he was going to be in Detroit on Leah’s birthday Thursday, he texted her from work and told her to buy two front row tickets from their account.
With all the pressure the detectives were putting on them, Jace and Leah felt this would be a welcoming getaway no matter who they were going to see in concert. They both needed a change of scenery from the stale precinct they seemed to be in every other day.
