Chapter 12

Danny (P. O. V).

I drove to work with my face filled with smiles. Seeing her face again gave me this joy and I am glad she collected my card, at first, I thought she was going to reject it but she didn't. I noticed the surprised when I told her my name, I just had to because it seems weird that I know her's and she doesn't know mine.

Quickly, I drove through the busy road, glanced at my wristwatch and got closer to the company. i drove towards the company garage, parked my car and I saw my assistant, Collins running towards me, "Get me my cup of coffee" I said to him and handed him my keys as I walked into the tall building in front of me. I passed the receptionist who greeted me with flirty eyes, well I am used to it but if not for my dad, I would have fired her a long time ago.

I walked towards the elevator, walked in and pressed the 5th button. I waited impatiently as the elevator took me to the 5th floor, my eyes glancing at my wristwatch every passing seconds. The elevator stopped after reaching the 5th floor, hastily, I walked out and head towards my office.

Collins quickly walked in with a cup of coffee in his hand and carefully placed it on my table, "Your usual taste boss" he announced respectfully. I didn't say a word, nodded and dismissed him as I took a sip of the hot coffee.

I scanned the pile of files on my desk, picked up one, opened it, and began to work.

The ticking sound of a wall clock filled my ears as worked in silence. A few minutes passed up, I picked up a document and to my surprise, Sandra's face appeared again, not just in my head, but on the front page of the document "Urgh!"I groaned in frustration as i closed my eyes and gently rubbed them.

I remembered how I found the earrings on my car seat this morning and I decided to give it back to her. As I drove to her house, I hoped she was at home and i was so relieved when the door got opened by her. Even with the baggy shirt she wore, she looked beautiful and so irresistible in it. I smiled to myself thinking of how much effect she has on me.

Suddenly, a knock on my office door brought me back to reality. The door opened and my father walked in with a serious look on his face.

" Father" I muttered surprised to see him, these days, he hardly comes over to the office and today, he came unannounced.

"Son, we need to talk" he announced, his voice, thick and firm. I watched him take a seat opposite mine and motioned me to sit, although my father is just in his late 50s, he still looks quite young and fierce, an attribute that brings fear to his competitors.

He picked up a newspaper by his side, glanced through it, and looked back at me. "There is a meeting you have to prepare tomorrow with one of our shareholders at Miami, no further questions, you will leave as soon as possible".

I stared at him, "How long will I be away father?", I inquired.

His forehead squeezed in a frown, "I am not sure, maybe a month or more but that does not matter, everything depends on how long they consider to sign some important documents for the contract worth billions of dollars, so you need to try your best to convince them on the contract" he replied looking stern at me.

"This meeting is very important to this company and it will help us grow. Your flight has been booked by your secretary as we apeak and it will take off at 7 pm this evening," he announced and stood up, his eyes not leaving me "Make me proud son, this meeting will go a long way for us, i want nothing but a yes from them, note that" his cold voice echoed through the large room with a serious expression on his face, after saying this, he walked out of tbe office and closed the door.

I sigh and gently rubbed my forehead with my back resting on the chair as. Of course, another meeting, I just have to get this done and over with.

Later that day around 4 pm, I left the office, went home, rested for some minutes, and prepared my luggage for my flight.

When it comes to business, my father never takes No for an answer, so I was trained to always succeed in whatever business transaction I do in the company's name, my father's name.

Around 6 pm, I left for the airport and by 7 pm prompt, my flight took off.

Sandra (P.O.V)

Days rolled by and the week of my test rolled by, I dedicated my time to my books as getting the best grade is a goal I will always aim for.

After our test results were released, I passed with A+ in all my subjects, I was so happy because finally I and my friends were going to our final class in high school.

Kate graduated from high school and on their prom night, she and Charles won the couple of the year award, she was so happy and in the love, of course, I am happy for her. She and Charles applied to the same college and they were both admitted, Kate indeed is living the life she has always dreamed of.

Pearl continued her affair with Mr. Mike, I couldn't even believe it when she told me they were already dating and has had s*x couple time, "He is so good in bed" she exclaimed happily one day not hiding it her passion for more.

Bella and Jude came back together, he explained that Bella misunderstood things and broke up with him, he was never dating any other girl, just her.

But here I am, single and happy, but every day when I am alone in my room, I do hold Danny's card and wonder if I should ever call him, but if I do, what will I say to him?.. nothing. I might just end up keeping mute after hearing his voice.

I never dared to call him but I hopefully, I will see him soon because I just couldn't get the whole of him off my mind.
