Chapter 5

"Well," he said staring at me with those enticing blue ocean eyes, "I heard you are in the same class with my cousin". He said briefly with a genuine smile on his face.

Pearl glanced at me and back at him, "This is Sandra my friend, and I am Pearl" she said in her usual flirty tone, her eyes stuck on him while I stood like a helpless log.

"We also have a friend whom we decide to wait for after school and we are all in the same class" she paused as an expression appeared on her face, her eyebrow raised, "Who is your cousin by the way?" she implored looking at him.

I stood still surprised at Pearl's confidence, she stood beside me talking to this stranger while I stood there looking mute.

The guy before us smiled again, this time, it was a warm smile. "Nice to meet you Pearl and of course", he paused and diverted his gaze at me with an expression on his face, " You too Sandra" he smiled and turned to Pearl, "My cousin's name is Ammi" he let out in a cool tone.

"Ammi," I said to myself, the girl I have always avoided in school due to the way she stares at me with those creepy eyes of hers.

I glared up at this stranger in front of me, he looks nothing like Ama, not a single bit.

"Oh, Ammi" Pearl's voice cut through my thoughts.

"Maybe she is home now, I don't know," Pearl replied with her eyes fixed at him.

"Alright, thanks for your time", he nodded with a smile and walked away as Pearl and I stared at him. He got into his car, smiled at us, and drove away.

"Isn't that weird" Pearl let out still looking in the direction the car went. Not getting a response, she turned to me looking skeptical, "Are you alright?" She implored.

"I am not," I said to myself bewildered. What did this stranger just do to me? First, he appeared in my dream, now he is in my life, everything just doesn't make sense and I feel like my head was going to explode.

"Yeah I am fine" I replied as I turned to Pearl. "I am just surprised you could talk to a stranger with such ease," I said to her.

Pearl played with her hair and laughed, "I was just being friendly, that's all but Sandra" she paused giving me one of her looks I despise sometimes, "Do you notice the way he was staring at you?" she asked as she winked.

Immediately I glared at her with my enlarged eyes, Pearl noticed it too?.

"How?" I asked with a shaky voice which I tried to hide.

"Come on girl, you know what I am saying" Pearl walked a few steps away from me and turned to me with a winky smile on her face, " "Throughout our conversation, his eyes were fixed on you although he tried not to look at you his eyes kept on going towards you Sandra" she paused with a laugh

"I guess you have an admirer now" she giggled excitedly, "I won't lie, he is damn handsome and smoking hot" she winked again at me.

Looking pissed, I ignored her assumption and walked into our school avoiding her. Pearl laughed and ran after me as her words ran through my mind. We got back into the theater and gladly, the practice was almost over, I could not even eat my burger anymore as my appetite was far lost. "Who is this guy? I asked myself uncertain.

He claims to be Ammi's cousin, then if this is true, I have to avoid him the best way I can. It's obvious that Ammi hates me and I don't want anything that will make us cross paths.

After practice, Bella came to join us and decide we walked home together. On our way home, Pearl brought up the topic of the stranger, Ammi's cousin precisely.

"You didn't ask him his name?" Bella suddenly asked looking confused.

"His name, "I said to myself, that's true, we didn't ask, I was too confused that I couldn't even say a word.

Pearl hit her forehead gently, " You are right Bella, I forgot to ask but can you believe the way this guy was looking at Sandra like he wants to say something to her but couldn't". Pearl let out all at once.

I stopped and looked at her, "Please don't say that again" I said unable to believe her words, "he hardly knows me, maybe he is just a flirt trying to try out his skill on us but it didn't work. I don't even know him, please, let's not talk about this stranger again" I said irritated.

Pearl sighed "Okay, fine, but I won't deny the fact that he is older, handsome, and hot, he looks like a college boy, not that bad," she said bringing out a gum from her pocket.

Bella laughed, "With what Pearl just said, I can't wait to meet this mysterious guy" she laughed again. I turn to her as I gave her a scornful look, scoffed, and walked away from them as they both laughed telling me to wait.

Immediately I got home, I lay on my bed and the face of this strange guy crawled into my mind. The way he looked at me made my body so uncomfortable, I won't lie, he is indeed handsome and his devilish smile made him more mysterious but I still can't understand how a person I saw in my dream could crawl out of it into reality, this doesn't look good to me at all.

Confused, I tossed around my bed wondering what is happening to me, his eyes, his voice, his figure, and his appearance, Everything completes the way I saw him in my dream. Sighing deeply, I looked up at my ceiling "God, I hope all these ends well" I said to myself sighing again. I got up from my bed, walked towards my mirror as I carefully removed the hairpins on my hair.

Tenderly, I unpacked my hair and watched it fall to my waist. I undressed, took a warm shower, and changed into comfortable shorts and a tank top. I walked towards my bookshelf, picked up a novel, and lay on my bed, a few minutes, my eyes became weary, slowly, I fell asleep.
