“Awful and unlawful we are,” I said in my Yoda voice. “Criminal Jedi.” Turning the T-handle had two jobs: unlocking the door and triggering a relay for the lights. The weather seal hissed slightly as the cool dry air of the building mixed with the warm humidity in the basement, energy saving LEDs illuminating the seven foot shaft and steel ladder.
