“It has been good to have you here, my king,” Raven’s father said, extending his hand to me.
I took his hand and smiled back at him.
“I’m not king yet,” I replied.

“Thank you for everything,” I said. “Without you, I would never have had the chance to see my family or return home.”
“Travel safely. You’ve been briefed on the route? Don’t stray from it—not everyone in these parts is as kind as us,” he warned.
