Chapter 12: Double Trouble

“Yes it is, looks to be about three months and growing good. Judging by the measurements it is the size of a lime.”

“Wow, so everything is good? The baby is healthy?”

she nods her head in answer.

‘knock, knock’

“Doctor Roberts, I think you should look at this. It is Ms Carters bloodwork.” The nurse says, peaking her head through the door.

The doctor gets up and walks over, taking the paperwork and looking at it very closely.

“Well this certainly is very shocking.”

She walks back over and puts more gel on my stomach, pressing the wand deeper

“Is there something wrong?” Ashton asks, concern written all over his face.

“Well your fiancé’s bloodwork just came back and showed a higher level of HCG than what a normal pregnancy would show. In my years of experience that could only mean one thing, I just need to find it on here. While I am looking for it, would you like to hear the heartbeat?” She says with a serious face.

“Umm sure we would love that, but is there something wrong with the baby?”

“No, nothing wrong at all sweetheart.”

she presses a button on the keypad and the most tear jerking sound came on. I looked up at Ashton and see that he has tears in his eyes. The fast pace sound of our babies heartbeat was playing in the room.

“Oh my gosh, I can’t believe it.” Ashton says, wiping the tears away. “We made that little thing baby.”

All I could do is nod my head with how much I was crying.

Out of nowhere I hear it. I hear something else in the sound of our babies heart beat.

“Doctor Robinson, why do I hear something else in the heartbeat?” Ashton looks down at me then back at the doctor, looking for an explanation.

“Haha, looks like you found it before I did. Look here, see this little blob next to the baby.” She says with a smile.

“Yes, I see it. But what is it?”

“That Ms Carter would be baby number two.” She says, smiling even wider.

“Baby number two?” Ashton asks, shock written all over his face.

“Yes sir. Look like you are going to have a pair of identical twins. We can find out the genders today if you want, you are far enough along.”

“Can we get the genders in an envelope? I want to be surprised later.” I ask, the shock of twins still not going away.

“Yes no problem.” She quickly writes it down and hands it to us.

I wipe the gel off and get ready to leave. Once the appointment was done, we headed to the store to get some supplies.

“ I can’t believe it. Your pregnant with twins.” Ashtons says with a smile.

“I know, I can’t believe it either. I am so excited.” I smile widely, placing a hand on our babies.

“I can’t wait to see the look on our friends faces when we tell them.”

“Hell yes.”

“Okay, so we need to get some balloons and two cakes. I want to reveal them at the same time but I think it will be better if we do it one at a time. That way it will be even more of a shock for them.”

“Sounds like a great idea baby.” He takes my hand and we go up and down every baby themed isle to grab our supplies.

After grabbing our supplies we head to the bakery and tell them that we want two cakes one each to go with the genders in the envelope we gave them. It took them a good thirty minutes to get the cakes iced and decorated

I called the girls to see where they were at and they said they were at the house chilling and watching movies with the guys. I told them we were on the way home. Steph asked if I could go back to my dorm and get some nice clothes because they made plans for later too go out to a nice restaurant for dinner.

“Babe?”

“Yes little one.”

“Steph asked if we can go back to my dorm so I can get some clothes. They want to go out to a fancy dinner tonight.”

“Yeah no problem, we are about to drive past anyway, so I can just stop by and we can run in.”

“Okay, thanks baby.”

“No problem, anything for you and the little squishes.”

“I love their nicknames. They remind me of finding Nemo.”

“Well at this stage of your pregnancy they do look like little sea creatures.”

“They get that from their daddy.” I giggle out.

“It is fine if they look like me in that sense as long as they get your brains and sweetness.”

“Aww baby. Why do you have to be so sweet to me.”

“Because you deserve it my love. You are the kindest most caring person I have ever met, and I can tell you will be the best mother our children will have to ask for.”

My hormones were already all over the place, but with how sweet and truthful his words were, I couldn’t help but tear up. I look over at him and pull his arm over to my side and hugged him.

“You will make the best daddy ever Ashton.” I say while snuggling into his arm.

We drive the last three minutes to my dorm and park in the parking lot right in front of the building. We exit the car and make our into the building and up the stairs to my dorm room. On the way up the stairs we passed many girls who kept staring at Ashton pass by them. Wether they were above us staring at his biceps or below us staring at his ass. It was making me uncomfortable to say the least so I grabbed his hand and practically dragged him the rest of the way to my room and out of the prying eyes.

“The greeks gods just had to make you so damn sexy.” I say under my breath.

“I heard that.” He chuckles out. “Baby, I only have eyes for you.” He says, coming up behind me and placing a kiss on my temple.

“I know, but it still bothers me when they look at you like you are a piece of meat.”

“I feel the same way when guys stare at you too.”

I got to my closet and grab a bag to start putting a few days worth of clothes in it.

“I will be right back. I need to talk to your dorm advisor really quick.”

“Wait why?”

“Just to let them know our situation.”

I nod my head and go back to packing some little things.

Ashton POV

I head out Rosalin’s room and down stairs to her dorm advisors room and knock on the door. Nobody answered at first so I knock again.

‘knock, knock’

The door opens and a small little head peeps out the door.

“Can I help you?” The little voice squeaks out.

“Yes, hi. My name is Ashton, I am Rosalin Carter’s boyfriend. I need to talk to you about her living situation if you do not mind.”

“Uh, yeah sure, that is fine. Please come in.” She opens the door more for me to come in.

“Please have a seat on the couch.” She gestures to the small little one person loveseat.

“Okay, so what is it I need to know about.”

“I’m sorry, I didn’t get your name.” I ask nicely.

“Oh right, sorry. My name is Giselle.”

“Well nice to meet you Giselle. So about Rosalin’s situation. We just got some news and I find it would be better for her and you if we include you in.”

“What news?” She says leaning back against her desk.

“Well I just want to let you know that Rosalin will be moving out of her dorm room today.”

“And why would she be moving out?” She says, slightly leaning forward, concern written on her face.

“Well the thing is we just found out she is three months pregnant.”

“Oh. Well that sure is some big news. But why would she be moving out?” She quirks her eyebrow.

“Well as her bump will be growing more quickly, I find that it is the best for her living situation to move in with me so I can help take care of her and the babies.”

“Babies? As in plural?”

“Yes, she is pregnant with twins.” I say with a smile. The picture of my twins on the ultrasound flashing through my mind.

“Well I can see how that would be beneficial to her. But are you sure this is what she wants.”

“I am sure. She is upstairs packing some of her clothes right now. She has been staying with me the last two days.”

“Well if that is what she wants then I can’t stop her.”

“Thank you so much. I will get out of your hair now.” I say, getting up and out the door.

“Tell her I said good luck and congrats on the babies.” She yells out after me.

“I will, thank you. Oh and you are welcome to the baby shower.”

As soon as the word baby shower came out my mouth all the girls in the hall turn and look at me with shock. Rosalin makes her ways down the stairs to my right and walks over to me. I grab her hand in mine and we make our way outside and to the car.

I make sure Rosalin is in the car securely first then put her bag in the back seat then make my way over and into the drivers seat. I start the car and soon we are on our way back to my apartment.

After about five minutes we were pulling into my parking space. We grab everything we got from the store and her clothes then we head inside.

As soon as we got inside she made a b-line to my bedroom. I thought she was going to throw up again with how fast she was walking so I follow her, only to see her fall back into the bed with a big sigh.

“Tired little butterfly?” I say with a smile.

“Oh yeah. Growing two babies will do that to a person.” She laughs out.

I walk closer to the bed and lay down beside her.

“Do you want to take a nap?”

“That sounds like a great idea.” She smiles weakly.

“Okay, you take a nap and I will go put everything away first then i’ll be back and we can cuddle.” I kiss her lips softly.

“Yes sir.” She kisses me back then crawls under the blanket and burrows herself deep.

I get up and walk to the kitchen and I see Zeke looking through the bags.

“Whats with the two cakes?” He asks

“Just a little surprise for you guys. One of them has the gender of the baby so we plan on having a little party after dinner.” I smirk at him. I can’t wait to see their faces when they find out we are having twins.

“Well, our reservation is at seven thirty across town so if you are wanting to rest now would be the time. Johnathan and Steph are in his room and I have Kira in mine taking a nap.”

“Okay, sounds good. Rosalin is already passed out in bed. But I do have something to ask you and Johnathan.”

“Yeah sure, let me go get him.”

Zeke goes over to the door and knocks on it. Johnathan opens the door and Zeke whispers something in his ear to which he nods then steps out.

“Okay man, whats up.”

“Well you know that Rosalin’s baby bump is going to get bigger and she will become more and more uncomfortable.”

“Yes.” The slide in unison.

“Well I want to know if it is okay with you both that she moves in here with us. That way I can keep an eye on her and the baby.”

“I’m fine with it.” Zeke says with a smile.

“So am I. With her here more, that means Steph and Kira will come over more.” Johnathan smirked.

“Oh yeah, that is true.” Zeke smirks.

“Okay good. That was the plan to have her move in eventually but I still wanted both of your opinions, and I take it that both of you are happy about them both coming more.” I say the last part with a smirk.

“I’m thinking about asking Steph to be my girlfriend. I really like her and from what I can tell she likes me as well.” Johnathan says with a slight smile.

“Same with Kira. Last night was a good confirmation that we get along well.” Zeke says with a smirk.

“Don’t get with someone just because you are good together in bed.” I say shaking my head.

“It is not just that asshole. I like her, she makes me laugh and I like that she is a sweet caring dork. I feel like we can make a good couple. Hell, you know I don’t sleep with someone unless I am emotionally attracted.” He smacks Johnathan’s arm.

“Yeah we know, we just had to make sure since they are all close and most likely to kill you viciously if you were to use and hurt her.”

“Don’t worry, I will treat her well”

We all nod our heads and start to decorate the house with baby decor before we all go to nap then leave for dinner.

Decorating the house didn’t take long so we all head back to our rooms to get some rest.

When I go back to my room I see Rosalin curled up under the blanket and the fan blowing directly in her face. I walk over and get in under the blanket with her, pulling her closer to me and putting my hand over her barely showing baby bump. I am so happy that our little squishes are doing good and growing well. In the coming months her body will start to change and I am looking forward to seeing it all.

Rosalin snuggles further into my chest, her hand traveling down top my hip and stops to play with the waistband of my sweatpants.

I grab her hand to stop her exploration. “What are you thinking about doing little one?” I smirk down at her, her eyes fluttering open.

“I was thinking you smelled so good that I wanted a taste.” Her little doe eyes looking at me all innocent.

My c**k jumped at her confession.

“Little one, you need to rest as much as you can right now.”

“But I want you so bad right now.” She pouts at me.

“I want you as well but if I take you right now you won’t be able to go to dinner. It has been three months since I had you baby and I can tell you right now that I am a starved man.”
