CHAPTER 3: STRANGE DREAM

488 Words
After Celestia was discharged from the hospital, she felt a lingering unease and decided to seek help from a psychologist. The strange occurrences, such as hearing the mysterious man's voice and seeing his image everywhere, had been haunting her, and she needed answers. She expressed her concerns to the psychologist, "I don't understand why all these things are happening to me. Tell me, Doctor, am I going through something real, or am I just hallucinating? Is this a sign that I'm losing my sanity?" The doctor empathetically shook their head, reassuring Celestia, "No, no, no, you're not insane." They then inquired about when these peculiar experiences had started. "It all began two weeks ago when I had a dream about a mysterious man I'd never seen before. Since then, these dreams have been plaguing me," Celestia explained, her anxiety palpable. The doctor offered guidance, saying, "Try to relax. Before you sleep, focus on joyful memories in your life. Avoid dwelling on negative thoughts that might worsen your condition." "Thank you, Doctor. I'll try your suggestion," Celestia responded with a hint of relief. She whispered to herself, "I hope that man stops invading my dreams and lets me sleep in peace." Later in the day, she had dinner and retired early, heeding the doctor's advice. However, in the midst of her slumber, she found herself in another bizarre dream, but this time it wasn't about the man. Instead, she was in a mysterious resort. As she ventured through this dream-like place, she discovered a serene beach with a sailboat gently swaying in the breeze. But her pleasant reverie took a dark turn as she envisioned someone drowning. Fear gripped her, and just as she struggled to make sense of it, someone was waking her up. "Celestia, Celestia, you're dreaming again!" her friend Thalia called out urgently. Celestia awoke with a start, drenched in sweat, her breath coming in rapid gasps. "Thank you, Thalia, for waking me up. I had another strange dream." Thalia inquired, "Is it about that man again?" "No, Thalia, it wasn't about him this time, but let's not dwell on it," Celestia replied, still shaken. Thalia, ever supportive, proposed an idea, "What if we go on vacation? Our friend Luis has invited us to the beach. Perhaps it would help you de-stress, and we haven't seen our friends in a while, either." Celestia considered the suggestion, realizing it might be just what she needed. "I think that's a great idea, Thalia. I haven't seen Luis in ages, and I miss his goofy personality. When are we going to the beach?" Thalia's eyes sparkled with excitement as she replied, "It's tomorrow, Celestia. But don't worry about packing; leave that to me." "Thank you, Thalia," Celestia said gratefully. "Don't mention it. You're my best friend," Thalia responded with joy and affection, and they embraced each other, anticipating the upcoming beach vacation and a break from the unsettling dreams.
