"I'm in love with you..."
I felt like something choked me. I couldn't speak... I couldn't even breathe!
I just stared at him with my eyes probably as wide as saucers, my mouth agape. Did I hear him right? Or was I just imagining things? But never in my wildest dreams have I thought that I would hear those words from him!
Not in a romantic way at least.
"W-what did you just say?" I gasped breathlessly when I finally took hold of my tongue.
"I love you," he said again, but the effect was just like the first time.
"Not as a friend," he hurriedly added before dropping another kiss on my still parted lips. It was a quick one but still enough to awaken emotions I never knew I had.
"And definitely not platonic," he murmured while teasing me with chaste kisses.
