"Bye," he kissed me.
"Take care," I grinned before going out of his car.
He dropped me off at work. I took a step aside, then waved at him while he started driving away. I watched his car until it disappeared. Days passed by peacefully despite the turmoil inside of me. I had been dreading the day that Liza would decide to come back and drop the bomb in front of us.
I kept the truth to myself. Why would I tell him when Liz herself didn't? It was her story to tell. If she chose to keep it from Sebastian, then all I can do is hope that he isn't the father, right?
"Eli, are you alright?" Dad asked. I didn't notice him behind me.
I looked at him and forced myself to smile.
"Yes, how's the inspection going on?" I asked. I feel guilty because I went as far as to doubt him.
