She's dead. My mother died after giving birth to me. That's what I know. That is what they have made me believe since I was a kid. What is it I'm hearing now then? I pushed the door open and stepped inside. My trembling hands made a sound which made my father snap his head in my direction. His eyes widened when our gazes met. I calmly pulled the door close despite the raging storm inside me. "Dad..." I mumbled. I didn't know where to start. All these years, was I just living a lie? "Liz," he huffed.
