The sun had already set, so I made the choice to say goodbye to Sasha. We spent the day conversing, laughing, and deepening our understanding of one another. It felt like a dream I never wanted to end.
"I have to attend a council meeting," I murmured as I gazed softly at her, my hands cradling her face.
Sasha nodded, her eyes shining with understanding. "Of course. The pack needs you."
I smiled, marveling at her compassion. Even now, she was thinking of others. "You're incredible, you know that?" I murmured, leaning in to kiss her.
The kiss was sweet and lingering, full of promise for the future. When we finally parted, both of us were a little breathless.
"I'll see you soon," I promised, reluctantly stepping back. "Try to get some rest. We have a lot to discuss tomorrow."
