"Alpha, get back to your DAMN mind!" Kai uttered.
I blinked, the world slowly coming back into focus.
The familiar surrounding coming back to life.
"Tick tock, Alpha," Caleb taunted. "What's it going to be? Your pack or your family?" I remember Caleb's words from before.
Ohh, guess it's another "faint," as I'd come to call these episodes.
They come in different ways, I feel like I was in the future, the past or something totally different.
They had plagued me since my time as a feral rogue, a reminder of the darkness I'd clawed my way back from.
'Kieran,' Kai's voice rumbled in my mind, heavy with concern. 'You with me?'
"Yeah," I muttered, shaking my head to clear the fog. "I'm here. What happened?"
