Sasha "So, you got the guts to step into my pack!" He spat.. "Now Hell awaits you!" He added. Making my heart stop for a moment…. s**t! I'm dead. "Bring her in!" He ordered and with that he disappeared before I knew it. Where....just where is he? Is he that fast that my eyes can catch? A cold shiver ran down my spine. I was dragged through the surprisingly modern streets of Havenpack, my eyes wide as I took in the stark contrast to the savage wilderness I'd expected. Sleek buildings rose up around us, their windows gleaming in the sunlight. Pack members bustled about, dressed in stylish clothes that wouldn't have looked out of place in any big city. "This can't be right," I muttered to myself. "Where are the caves and feral rogues?" The guard to my left snorted. "You outsiders and your ridiculous rumors. Did you expect us to be gnawing on bones in caves?" I flushed, embarrassed by my naivety. "Well, no, but..." "Save it," he growled. "The Alpha will decide what to do with you." We approached an imposing building at the heart of the pack grounds. Its sleek lines and dark glass facade emanated power and authority. The Havenpack crest - a black wolf's head beneath a crescent moon - was emblazoned above the entrance. Inside, we take a glass elevator to the top floor. All the way up...my heart was pounding not knowing my fate... As the doors opened revealing a large office with floor-to-ceiling windows that was facing the pack grounds. And there he was. Alpha Kieran. He was staying with his back to us, even without seeing his eyes. He has a powerful aura, and imposing height, he was somewhere 6'4", he would definitely tower over me, his broad shoulders were seen through the long coat and a fitted black blazer. When he turned, I nearly gasped. His piercing yellow eyes were locked to mine in an instant, framed by chiseled features that belonged on a magazine cover. A small scar above his left eyebrow only added to his dangerous allure. "So," he uttered, his deep baritone making shivers run through me, "you're the little trespasser causing all this fuss." I cleared my throat and lifted my chin trying to look strong, and refusing to be intimidated by his sight "I didn't mean to trespass. I was just trying to escape-" "Silence!" he yelled, making me flinch. "I didn't remember giving you the permission to speak." He raised a brow. His nose flared as he walked closer to me, circling me like a predator that just seized his prey. His presence was so demanding making it hard for me to fight the urge to shrink in front of him. No, I had to stay strong. I force myself to stand there staring right in his eyes. "What pack are you from?" he demanded. I hesitated, unsure how to answer... What would he do if he knew I'm from the Raven pack? His worst enemies as I've heard in the rumors. "I... I don't have a pack anymore." I stammered. His eyebrows rose. "A lone wolf? A exile I suppose or a banished...How intriguing." He leaned in close, inhaling deeply. "And newly presented, from the smell of it. What's your name, little wolf?" "Ss....Sasha," I answered, my voice barely above a whisper. "Sasha," he repeated, rolling the name on his tongue. "Tell me, Sasha, why were you running?" I took a deep breath, deciding honesty was my best bet. "I was falsely accused of... impropriety. My uncle, the Alpha of Raven Pack, threw me in their prison. I managed to escape, but I had nowhere else to go." Kieran's eyes narrowed. "Raven Pack? Blake's territory?" I nodded, surprised he knew my uncle. "Yes, Alpha Blake is my uncle." A slow, predatory grin spread across Kieran's face. "Well, well. Isn't this interesting?" He turned to his guards. "Leave us. I'd like to have a private chat with our guest." The guards hesitated for a moment before bowing and exiting the room. I swallowed hard, suddenly very aware of being alone with this powerful, enigmatic Alpha. Kieran circled behind his desk, gracefully lowering himself into a plush leather chair. He gestured to the seat across from him. "Sit, Sasha. Let's talk." I gingerly perched on the edge of the chair, my hands still bound behind my back. "What do you want to know?" "Everything," he said, leaning forward with gleaming eyes. "Start from the beginning. And don't leave anything out." So I told him. About my status as the packless, unwanted niece. About the mating ceremony and Caleb's cruel rejection. About the photos and accusations that led to my imprisonment. As I spoke, Kieran's expression grew darker and darker. When I finished, he was silent for a long moment, tapping his fingers against the desk. Finally, he spoke. "Your uncle is a fool." I blinked in surprise. "What?" "Blake," Kieran clarified. "He's always been short-sighted and quick to judge. It seems those traits have only worsened with time." "You... you know him?" I asked hesitantly. Kieran's lips curved in a bitter smile. "Oh yes, we go way back. Your uncle and I have quite the history." My mind raced, trying to piece together the implications. "Is that why Havenpack has such a fearsome reputation? Because of some feud with Raven Pack?" He laughed, a rich, rumbling sound that sent shivers down my spine. "Clever girl. You're partially right. Blake has certainly contributed to the rumors about us. But make no mistake - we've earned our reputation." I shifted uncomfortably. "So... what happens to me now?" Kieran studied me intently, his yellow eyes seeming to peer into my very soul. "That depends on you, little wolf. You have information that could be very valuable to me. The question is, are you willing to share it?" "What kind of information?" I asked warily. "Details about Raven Pack. Their defenses, their weaknesses. Things only an insider would know." He leaned forward, his voice dropping to a seductive purr. "Help me, Sasha, and I can offer you protection. A place in my pack. Revenge against those who wronged you." The offer was tempting, so tempting. But could I really betray my former pack? Even after everything they'd done to me? "I... I don't know," I stammered. "I need time to think." Kieran nodded, leaning back in his chair. "Of course. I wouldn't expect you to decide something so monumental on the spot. You'll stay here as my... guest while you consider my offer." The way he said "guest" made it clear I wasn't exactly free to leave. But it was still better than the Hell Cells. "Thank you, Alpha," I said softly. With that he rose up, coming near me from the desk, his towering height made me shiver. He grabbed my chin, pulling my face up to meet his yellow eyes. "Ah, ah.....don't thank me yet, little red wolf. Not when I finished determining where to put you.... so you haven't seen what I'm truly capable of." He warned. With that last dangerous warning, he walked away, not before yelling for the guards to take me to my new room. "Take her." With his one call the guards hovered over me and take me to the destination he said I followed them with my heart banging in my chest... Deep inside me...I was restless. Did I just make a deal with the devil? Before I disappeared I caught one last glimpse of Kieran's dark yellow eyes, I wondered if maybe.... Just maybe, this kind of Devil might be the right one I needed to exert my revenge.... But it was too simple…
