Jake can't help it but to chuckle as Hunter entered his own office. Jay and Jake were both sitting on the sofa as he barged inside. Hunter was followed with his secretary who has an agitated look on her face. Sunghoon silently walked towards his swivel chair and leaned his head on the headboard, trying to calm himself down.

"Just how dumb can they be? for god's sake..."

Sunghoon whispered in disappointment, Making Jake laugh and Jay look at him.

"what happened today, Tina?"

Jake casually asked his assistant. Tina looked at him and nodded her head.

"There was a minor error on the report of the upcoming establishment for the Skylark Homes near New York downtown so the vice chairman is very disappointed today."

Jake chuckled and looked at Hunter.

"You don't look like that on a normal day, bro."

Jake laughed. Hunter just rolled his eyes and hissed, turning towards Jay.

"What happened to him?"

He asked. Jake looked at Jay who was still on his phone right now.

"Ah he got turned down for a date by the girl he's seeing. funny, right?"

Jake laughed even more.

"I know why Hunter's very harsh today..."

jay murmured, trying to divert the attention away from him. Jake looked at him with wondering eyes, curious.

"You do?"

jay looked at him before glancing back to HUnter. The look on Hunter's eyes seems like he's acting he doesn't know.

"because someone's coming back."

Jay said, smirking. jake turned towards Sunghoon, trying to know who but the latter just gave him another questioning look.

"who?"

Hunter, the main subject, asked.

"Do not play innocent, Hunter. I know she's the same reason why you decided to visit the Airlines today too."

Jay gave him a smug looking, grinning like a dog. Hunter furrowed an eyebrow.

"Who is it, actually? A relative? I can't remember anyone..."

he replied, clueless.

Jay just chuckled in ridicule, rolling his eyes while standing up.

"let's drink later. are your schedules open?"

"Ladies and Gentlemen, Welcome to Los Angeles Airport. The local time is 4:27 in American standard time and the temperature is 16° Celsius. For your safety and comfort, please remain seated while..." Astrid slowly opened her eyes, the plane's landing announcement waking her up from her slumber. It wasn't that long since she slept because of excitement that kept her awake for a very long time.

Finally, After two years... She's back. Back to her home, Back to where he is.

"... On behalf of Skylark Airlines and the entire crew, i'd like to thank you for joining us on this trip and we are looking forward to seeing you on board again in the near future. Have a nice day."

'Skylark Airlines...'

She thought to herself, smiling. After two years, you can see the growth and development of his company just by searching the name of the Airline. It really developed well and now became as one of the most famous airlines in the world.

Maybe.. Maybe her leaving him really became the best decision she made in her entire life. It let the both of them grow and sort things out.

For once, Astrid didn't regretted everything, seeing the improvements on both of their sides. Maybe it was really for the best.

Everything already changed.. What if he changed as well?

"We'll see.."

She whispered to herself. The cabin crews started announcing that the plane already took off and everyone is already leaving.

Before she walked out of the plane, the phone on her pocket rang, seeing her manager's name on the screen...

"Hello, Mr. Yu..."

She answered the phone call. Benny Yu, her manager scoffed before talking.

"I've been calling you since earlier, brat. What are you up to?"

He asked. Shiyeon looked around, putting her shades and mask so that only a few can recognize her.

"My phone's off earlier. The plane just landed."

She answered, walking towards the exit door. She greeted the cabin crew and bid her farewell silently.

"Wait-! You are Astrid Andreison, right? Oh my god I am a fan! Can we take a picture?"

An attendant suddenly squealed, recognizing Shiyeon even after the mask and shades. Astrid just awkwardly laugh and nodded her head.

Someone like her just cannot refuse to fans. Or else, they'll be cancelled immediately.

"I already got rid all of the paparazzi waiting on the airport so you can rest assured that no one is there to take some pictures of you illegally, honey. Please stay safe, okay?"

Shiyeon smiled at the attendants that now crowded towards her just for a picture. She immediately took her leave before things can even more out of hand.

"Thank you, how kind of you..."

She breathed out, finally entering Incheon airport.

"Just for so you know, I already fixed your schedules there in America. I also appointed a manager from our agency to look over you there as well. Do not do anything stupid, Astrid. I'm warning you."

Astrid sighed, rolling her eyes.

"I know. "

"It's still a mystery for me as to why Mr. Z let you go back to the US when your career here in Paris is already blowing up. What did you do to him to agree to your conditions? 6 months is too long... I would understand if it's only for a week or two... Sketchy."

Astrid's smile faded from the judgmental statement of her manager. Clearly, she knows what he is talking about.

"You're uttering non-sense, Mr. Yu."

Her grip on her bag tightened in anger. She's trying to hold it in, just like always.

"Well, It's not really a surprise to me if you seduced him like how you made that boy from a huge conglomerate family head over heels for you two years ago... What's his name again? Ah right! Hunt-"

"My ride is already here, Mr. Yu. I'll call you soon." she lied, immediately ending the phone call without saying anything more.

She just sighed and took her luggage from the pick up station. After she took her bags, she then proceeded to the receiving area where her friends are waiting. They are standing out from the crowd so it is absolutely easy to find them.

"There's a hot babe incoming...."

Astrid softly laughed and took her shades and mask off, walking towards her three friend with a smile on her face.

"It's nice to be back..."

She whispered. Wendy cheered, walking towards her and giving her a tight hug. Jean and Cali, also her best friends, hugged her and welcomed Astrid back to the States.

"You're finally back... I missed you, babe."

Callista whispered while hugging her, patting her back. Astrid embraced her back, smiling softly.

And then all of a sudden, while she was in Calli's arms, Astrid saw a very familiar figure walking towards them.

There, Finally....

The gleam on her eyes brightened, seeing him.

She dismissed the three and told them she'll just follow them to the van. The three left her on the port while she just stood there and stared at him for a minute. He was talking to someone, Astrid guessed it was a pilot.

He's here... For me?

Hunter Hytes.

It must have been fate.. Or does he know that she's going home?

Does that mean he's still checking up on her?

Does that mean he still care?

She observed him from afar, seeing his glow up in person. He grew taller... His soft, silky hair is formally fixed to stop them from blocking his vision. He look so good on his office suit and he looked even more mature than what he was two years ago.

He sure changed a lot.

She silently walked towards him with a soft smile. She's trying her best not to cry because of happiness.

And finally, when she's just a few more steps away, he finally noticed her presence.

Their eyes met for a split second.

After two whole years they met again.

Shiyeon expected it to be so welcoming.

Her smile completely faded seeing how his mood shifted from all smiley into something worst. The smile on his face quickly faded, the glow on his eyes grew cold as he gazed at her.

Disgust

Madness.

'What... Is the meaning of this...?'

The same familiar eyes that gave her butterflies just by simply looking at her back then now hit her like knives were getting thrown towards her direction.

The smile she saw earlier....

It wasn't for her anymore.

"Hunter..."

She approached him, tears pooling from her eyes. Sunghoon just glanced at her before looking back to the pilot he was talking.

'Do not look at me like that, Love.'

She thought to herself, smiling bitterly.

"Hunter..."

She went closer enough for the two fo them to hear her. The pilot looked at her and paused for a moment.

"Mr. Hytes?"

he took Hunter's attention, pointing Astrid with a simple nod. Sunghoon batted an eye before smiling shortly.

"Let's continue the discussion later, Mr. Smith. You can go now."

Sunghoon dismissed the pilot who just nodded his head and bowed with respect. he bid his farewell to Shiyeon as well before casually leaving.

there, the two was left in there. As if they were the only one inside the airport, their surrounding grew eerily silent.

Hunter sighed before looking at her, his face kept on a pokerface.

"Do you have something to discuss with me, Miss...?"

he asked, looking at her with boredom. Astrid doesn't know what to say... She wasn't expecting their meeting to be like this.

"I-I-I'm back..."

She stuttered, forcing a smile while a tear escaped her eye.

he acted like he doesn't remember at all. Like she was nothing but a stranger. It was her deepest fear. that one day.... maybe he'll forget about her. about everything they've been through.

How did everything changed after all these years..

How did a sweet dream from two years ago now became a frightful nightmare?
