Dawn’s POV
Olivia growled at me with so much rage that it echoed through the quiet back area of the storehouse. Her eyes were golden and filled with fury as she stepped closer, her chest rising and falling with every breath.
“Stay away from my mate,” she growled.
I forced myself to stand fully even though my side still ached from where I had hit the ground earlier. I tried to control my breathing and then I looked at her directly.
“Then tell your mate to stay away from me,” I replied.
I saw the way her expression changed. My words seemed to hit something in her. Her anger rose instantly, and it was clear that she had not expected me to answer like that.
