Dawn’s POV
The moment I turned around and saw Sarah standing there, it felt as if my entire body had seen a nice bed. I had not prepared myself for that face, for that familiar warmth I had missed so deeply. Before I could even think, my legs moved on their own and I walked straight into her arms. The instant my head touched her shoulder, something in me broke completely, and all the tears I had been holding back began to fall without control.
Sarah wrapped her arms around me tightly. Her hand moved slowly across my back, and she whispered, “It is ok, Dawn… it is ok. I am right here. I missed you so much.”
