I opened the door slowly, trying to prepare myself, but nothing could have prepared me for the way he looked at me the moment I stepped inside. Levi stood behind his desk, and when he saw me enter, he breathed in sharply as if he had been holding his breath for hours. His eyes flashed gold almost immediately, and his entire body went tense as his gaze dropped to the shirt and shorts I was wearing.
