Toby I DIDN’T SLEEP THAT night. Every time I closed my eyes, it was either Callie’s face staring at me from behind my eyelids, or an echo of that humming. What was that sound? When the sky outside my window turned light enough that I could plausibly call it morning, I got up, too frustrated to try to sleep any longer.
