One of Pluto’s biggest fear right now is that the two biggest underworld forces, the Brunhild and the New World Order decided to raze his island. The time and monetary loss aren’t something pleasant even though he could afford it.
By asking Ashe to take control of the mass destruction weapon, he could at least prevent his island from being attacked. He already asked Liam to purchase anti-air and anti-missile weapons but that’s just another precaution. If he can prevent these weapons to be aimed at his island then it would be for the best.
