I’m typically very good at directions, meaning that I did not have to ask Lucy for help in order to find her suite again. As I carried her into the elevator and pressed the button for the Alpha floor, she laid her head against my chest and sighed contently.
I did not want to pop the little bubble of happiness by addressing the elephant in the room about where Lucy wanted me to sleep, so I held my tongue, much to Red’s dismay. He wanted to mate and mark Lucy tonight so that she would fully be ours, but I did not want to rush her into anything after we had made so much progress earlier. She tried to climb down from my arms as we approached her purple door, but I held her tighter to my chest. Lucy would not take another step until I sat her down in her bedroom.
