I let Sawyer hold my hand as he led me through the packhouse and toward his room. He kept babbling about which room was who’s and what he did in this room or that room growing up, but it was going in one ear and out the other. I wasn’t focusing on it. I couldn’t. All I could focus on was my and Indigo’s anger and confusion. Indigo was angry at Sawyer and angry at me for not hurting Gracie for trying to claim our man. I was angry at her for trying to take control and hurt Gracie, and I was angry at Sawyer for not just telling me about Gracie before we arrived. All I wanted to do was meet his family, and instead, I was put on the spot with some crazy person trying to claim my mate in front of basically the entire Crystal Moon pack.
